, Team Ninja's upcoming open-world soulslike, is 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:launching on March 22, 2024. Ahead of its arrival, a new trailer was shown off at PlayStation's State of Play giving us a further look at its gameplay.

In the overview, we see one-on-one duels, the bustling city of Yokohama, the Souls-like com🌳bat and UI (though it appears to be much more accessible, something only fueled by its three difficulty options), the grappling hooꦕk in use, and of course, all the firearms. Some even have bayonets if you want to blend the two playstyles.

Rise of the Ronin is set during the Boshin War in 19th-century Japan. The story will focus on three factions fighting for the country's future, Sabuku, Tobakku, and Obei. You play the part of a neutral samurai mercenary, tasked with joining one of the three groups and helping to shape the future of the country.

"At one point in the new trailer, we see the player choose to help a character named Igashichi fight a group of hostile guards," producer and director Fumihiko Yasuda said, discussing how we fit into this world. "This choice to help establishes a bond between these characters, lets players get to know Igashichi more deeply, and unlocks other game features. You'll be able to make these choices with additional characters, such as Ryōma Sakamoto highlighted in a previous trailer."

Of course, these are real people. Igashichi was 🌺an inventor during the Edo period of Japan, and Ryōma Sakamoto was a samurai who fought against the Bakufu before being assassinated in 1867. Throughout Rise of the Ronin, you can expect to ru🌄n into historical figures like these.

While it is a soulslike, it has drawn comparisons to another PlayStation exclusive - Ghost of Tsushima. And, as mentioned before, it's far more accessible, including three difficulty options and co-op. So, if the going gets tough, you can turn things down a notch, unlike most other games in the genre. Failing that, you can always rope in a friend to carry you through the tougher fights.

Rise of the Ronin is a PS5 exclusive, but if you want a taste of what to expect from Team Ninja, specifically when it comes to combat, it 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:launched Wo Long: Fallen Dynastyౠ for Xbox, PlayStation, and PC last year. You can pick it up right now for £54.99.
