To start your journey to Xephyr, you just have to hop into the Planetary Cannon. This will trigger a brief scene before it aims you at the planet and sends you flying. Space travel really is as simple as that. As soon as you land on Xephyr, you will be given a teleporter, which lets you freely return to the habitat at will, no more Planetary cannon required.
As a result of this, you only need to use the Planetary Cannon once for each planet. To travel to a new planet, you just first unlock it and then use the Planetary Cannon. After this though, you can simply use the teleporters to move through the planets with much more ease. As such, the Planetary cannon becomes functionally useless after you've discovered all of the planets in the game🅘.
