A bad time never sounded so good.

With the entire series on newer hardware, that means they all have achievements, and some are brutal. A lot of the newer games have options to pay for the infinite ammo 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:guns and unlockables, so most of the achievements wiཧll consist of the old-school.

Only the main installments are include🐷d here. This means no Operation Raccoon City, Resistance, or Reཧ:Verse.

Updated on January 22, 2024, by Dominic Allen: With Resident Evil 2 releasing on Game Pass, many are trying out the title for the first time. Quite a few of these new people are achievement hunters, and since there was only one RE2 achievement on this list before, we've added three new entries.

13 💟 A Small Carbon Footprint: Resident Evil 2

Watch Your Step

Claire walking towards the valve handle in Resident Evil 2 remake

A unique and creative achievement in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Resident Evil 2 is A Small Carbon Footprint. To obtain it, you'll need to complete the game while taking less than 14,000 steps. This is different from a usual speedrun, as you'll need to take the fastest, most direct, and most efficient route through the game.

You can't forget stuff here, and the step limit is pretty tight. It's to the point where you're best off walking in straight lines to minimize the total steps you're taking. You'll have to move sort of like a robot that just goes directly from point A to B instead of how most people play.

12 ♐ Minimalist: Resident Ev🐽il 2

Organization Skills Required

To acquire the Minimalist achievement, you must beat the game without opening the item box. At first, this achievement may seem easy, but it's far more tricky. The reason is that while the item box has a use for storing additional items, it's also a primary tool for when your inventory's completely stuffed.

When you have no room left, the item box is great for removing that problem. This means you'll need to organize your inventory to a T to account for all the key items, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:great weapons you'll need, and health, too. If you mess up, you'll need to begrudgingly discard an item.

11 𒁏 Hell ♈Of A Sheriff: Resident Evil 2

The Ultimate Test

About to shoot a zombie in Resident Evil 2 No Way Out

By far, the hardest achievement in Resident Evil 2 has to be Hell Of A Sheriff. A DLC achievement requiring you to beat the No Way Out scenario, you'll need to complete the prior three first. This is no easy task, but at least you can play in training mode. You can't play training mode on No Way Out, though.

Here are some of the best video games remakes!

You'll need to kill 100 enemies in a row here without dying. Your pistol has infinite ammo, which is nice, but harder enemies from the prior three scenarios are included to compensate. These 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:enemies are deadly, and you'll want to get rid of them real quick. The mode's a brutal gauntlet, requiring quick thinking, strategy, and item resource management to survive.

10 🐽 Weapon Crazy: Code Veronica

The Hardest A Rank Of The Classic Games

In the old-school Resident Evil titles, the highest honor was achieving the A rank. It's the best rank to get and often gives you some sweet stuff like infinite ammo weapons. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Code Veronica's A rank is by far the hardest in the classic games and is needed to get the Weapon Crazy achievement. This will require a perfect run. You need to finish the game in under four and a half hours, don't use first aid sprays, and you also can't save or retry.

The only save you can do is after the Tyrant fight on the plꦫane, which counts as a free save. Performing a no-death run on Code Veronica is probably the hardest in t♉he classics due to the many parts that can kill you fast, like the Nosferatu boss and the crushing ceiling puzzle.

9 Baꦬttle Master: Code Veronica

Hope You're A Master Of Knifing

Resident Evil - Code: Veronica's extra game mode is Battle Game, where you need to reach the end while killing everything in your path. The completionist reward for getting A ranks with all five characters is the infinite ammo Linear Launcher and is what must be done to get the Battle Master achievement.

The mode is fairly challenging for every character, but Wesker takes the cake for the most brutal. Despite 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Wesker being basically a supervillain at this point, he only has a knife. Remember, you cannot run past the enemies as you need to kill them all. Code Veronica did give the knife some needed buffs, but it's still really hard.

8 𝄹 A Weird Interest In Leeches: Resident Evil 0

The Longest Classic Extra Game Mode

Out of all the classic Resident Evil games, by far, the longest extra game mode is Leech Hunter from RE0. Most of the other classic modes, like The 4th Survivor or Mercenaries from RE3, are pretty short and meant to be hea🍃vily replayed. However, if you want to get A Weird Interest In Leeches achievement, which requires you to A rank Leech H♕unter, it will take a few hours.

You must explore the entire Umbrella Research Center to get all 100 leeches while killing plenty of monsters in your way. It's already tough on its own; but add in randomized item placements, and it cranks it up to a whole other level.

7 From Zero To Hero: 𝓡Resident Evil 0 ꧒

Coming Down To The Wire

The tough final boss of Resident Evil 0.

Only a few of the classic RE games offer multiple difficulty settings, and Resident Evil 0 is one of them. Hard mode is the ultimate challenge in the game, and you must beat it to get the From Zero to Hero achievement. You must start from a new file, as you can't change difficulties when doing a successive playthrough with the unlocked weapons.

So many supplies are removed in Hard compared to Normal, in particular ammo. You'll have just barely enough weaponry to beat the game. It literally comes down to the wire, so it's advised to evade enemies whenever possible, as you'll have more healing items than ammo.

6 🐈 Every Nook And Cranny: Resident Evil Remake

A Huge Treasure Hunt With No Actual Treasure

Resident Evil Remake, The Crow Watches Jill From Above

The most frustrating achievement in the Resident Evil series has to be Every Nook and Cranny from the RE remake. The description states to simply visit all places on all maps. You'll probably think you just have to enter every room in the game, but nope. You have to do that, plus pick up every item. Several times you'll get to the helipad with no achievement pop and just be flustered at what you missed.

You literally have to search every nook and cranny for all the items. What's also tough is the choice of difficulty. Hard sounds better because there are fewer items to pick up, but that also means you'll encounter more enemies. Easy mode will offer less resistance but much more baggage to carry.

5 ⛎ The Survival Horror: Reside🌺nt Evil Remake

Survival Horror At Its Purest Form

A military agent standing in a small room

The Resident Evil remake offers a few unique difficulty modes. Real Survival is the hardest, and you must beat it to get The Survival Horror achievement. While Invisible Enemy mode is the final one unlocked, you can pick your difficulty. Not so much with Real Survival, which is always set to Hard. That's not the only change, though.

These puzzles are almost asꦐ confusing as Resident Evil's lore.

There's also no auto-aim, which is brutal for a classic survival horror title. The big kicker is that the item boxes aren't interconnected anymore. The items you put in a particular box will stay in that box. This completely changes how you play the game and forces you to think more critically about item usage.

4 War Hero: Resident Evil 5 🃏 💦

You Need To Be Untouchable

A screenshot showing Chris and Sheeva shooting flying Kipepeo infected creatures in Resident Evil 5.

When Resident Evil 5 first came out, even RE fans questioned its hardest difficulty, Professional. The Professional mode in RE4 was tough but manageable. RE5 is completely different because most attacks will immediately send you to dying status. It's quite similar to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Evil Within's Akumu mode in that regard, and both are needed for an achievement.

At release, most didn't even think it was possible to beat this mode solo with only an AI partner because of the one-hit attacks. The infinite ammo weapons will help, but not majorly. Shooting rockets at everything in sight is still risky because of the bad firing rate and potential splash damage.
