It was also another chance for Capcom to tell us that Leon Kennedy definitely won't be in Resident Evil Requiem, as recent rumors have suggested that Leon will actual be more of a main chara💯cter than Grace. In the trailer, director Koshi Nakanishi admit💞ted that he ha𓃲d "always thought about" making Leon Kennedy the game's main character, but that making a pure horror game around him is "difficult".

Leon Kennedy Was Considered As Resident Evil Requiem's Main Character

Nakanishi explains the decision to have Grace as the main character was due to her being introverted and easily scared, as the game will have her push through her feꦺars, mirroring the experience of the player. In stark contrast, Leon would be more grizzled and less 💛easily scared, and Nakanishi believes that "no one wants to see Leon scared at every little thing" and that he's actually "a bad match for horror".

I'm not buying it though. Just because Capcom keeps insisting he's not the main character doesn't mean he won't feature in𝓀 the game at all, and there very well could be more action-focused sections of the game that have you playing as Leon instead. It would be bizarre to go back to Raccoon City and not have Leon in the game at some point, so I'm calling you out for your fibs Capcom. Show me 💜my boy!
