168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Resident Evil 4 Remake's initial Castle area, the Gate, is the setting for the second map in The Mercenaries. It's unlocked when you complete a game on the Village map, and it's much more of a brawl than its predecessor. Wide-open firing lanes and limited opportunities to take advantage of elevation mean that you'll have enemies in your face for most of the match.

If that weren't enough, there are four catapults raining fire on the map. While these can occasionally take care of some enemies for you, letting them stick around is a risky proposition. Read on to find out all there is to know about this rampart rumble!

Castle Map Layout

a zealot with a catapult in resident evil 4 remake

Unlike the Village, the Castle map is slightly different from its layout in the main game. The structure between the main gate and the cannon is gone, making the central area of the map a wide-open arena. This also means that you can freely travel along the scaffolding that connects🐼 the upper and lower levels... 🍰but so can your enemies!

The cannon is still present, and still needs to be raised by destroying the counterweight beneath it. However, the cannon only has three shots in The Mercenaries. It's best used for blowing Garradors to smithereens.

Since the map is more open but compact, it's very easy to spot Bonus Orbs wherever they spawn. Each area has ꦅa chance to house one or more Orbs, so be sure to visit each room at least once!

Castle Enemies

As you might expect, the Ganados here are zealots, armed with wooden tower shields and all sorts of medieval weaponry. They frequently spawn Plagas Guadañas and, later in the match, Plagas Mandibulas - mercifully the only enemies in the Castle capable of a one-hit 🐎kill.

Castle Map Strategy

luis aims the cannon at a garrador in resident evil 4 remake: the mercenaries

As soon as the match begins, grab the Green Herb and ammo to your right and the Time Bonus Orb if one spawned there. If it's a Mayhem Orb, consider leaving it for later. Taking the left-hand passage leads to a ladder to the scaffolding and the lower chamber of the cannon tower; if you want, you can raise the cannon immediately from here, but if you're going for S++ it's better to raise it from above, since the lower path risks breaking your combo.

Your first order of business should be to destroy the catapults before the twentieth enemy (a Zealot Leader) spawns. You'll have your hands full enough without having to dodge fireballs. Go to the central area and aim for the red barrels at the top of each catapult tower; you should be able to hit them easily with handgun fire, or in Krauser's case, with the bow.

It's risky, but leaving the catapults alive can help save your combo; shooting a red barrel to kill a catapult operator will reset the timer.

Once the Zealot Leader appears, eliminate him as quickly as possible. Leon and Luis can snipe him fairly easily, though he'll take a few shots, and Krauser can quickly drop him with two arrows. Hunk needs to be a bit closer, so don't be afraid to chase the priest as he flees. If too many Plagas spawn,🎐 use a Flash Grenade to thin them out.

The Garradors aren't as dangerous as they are in the main game, because there are always plenty of Ganados to soak up their attacks. Krauser can kill them outright with melee attacks in Mayhem Mode, but the other characters will need to fight the Garradors the old-fashioned way. The safest, surest way to do so is to lure them to the bridge and blast them with the cannon.

In general, Leon and Luis should stay near the cannon since there's only one route the enemies can take to reach them. Krauser and Hunk should remain in the central area where they can continually take on large groups and drive up their combo. Remember that the catapult operators count toward the 150 enemies on the map, so if you're missing the final enemy make sure you've eliminated all the artillery!
