What Are Moon Phases?

Moon Phases is a unique difficulty system that brings new challenges to the game every five levels. The four moon phases currently in the game are:

  • Crescent Moon
  • Half Moon
  • Full Moon
  • Super Moon

If you're just a casual player and don't care about getting to the higher levels, the first four levels are designed for you.

Monsters are weaker and not as steady on their feet, so hiding and dodging them will be a little easier. Also, you won't have to worry about overcharge affecting your grabber during these levels.1🉐68澳洲幸运5开奖网: If you have 🀅a couple of strength upgrades, you should be able to💖 lift any of the small or medium monsters with ease.

Another great thing about the early levels is that when it's time to leave the level, the truck healer gives you 50 health when🎃 you enter. Additionally, the prices of upgrades, e🌸nergy crystals, and health packs are cheaper as well.

If anyone on your team is low on health, before you both enter the truck, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:give them some of your health. This way, when you both enter the truck you'll get an additional 50 health, and you shouldn't need to buy any health packs yet.

Moon phases begin at level five, and change every five levels. Each phase brings new challenges to your gameplay. These challenges include overcharge, a mechanic that affects how long you can hold onto a monster, changes to t💙he truck healer, how pits affect mons꧋ter health, and the behavior of monster orbs.

Every Moon Phase And What Difficulties They Bring

Now we'll get into the specific challenges that each moon phꦡase brings to your game, and how to best survive these new difficulties.

Crescent Moon - Level 5

Starting at level five, the game will start to get a little harder with the arrival of the Crescent Moon. First and foremost, the truck healer now restores 35 health after the final extraction has been cꦜompleted instead of 50.

Hopefully, though, by now you've had a few health upgrades and have started stacking up on health packs. You might not have any weapons yet, so it's still a good idea to hide as much 🐼as possible and avoid the monsters.

And speaking of the monsters, they will now be much more difficult to knock down with valuables you find on the map. If you have something big and heavy, you might still be able to beat up smaller e🦩nemies. But the larger monsters will be♛ much sturdier.

Half Moon - Level 10

  • Overcharge kicks in. When you try to pick up a monster, your grabber can overcharge if you hold on for too long.
  • Monsters no longer die instantly from pits. They'll take heavy damage, but depending on the monster's overall health, they can survive the pit.
  • Truck now restores 25 health after final extraction.

Level 10 brings the Half Moon phase, which introduces the overcharge mechanic. When you try to pick up an enemy, depending on their weight and your strength, your grabber will start building up overcharge energy.

If overcharge fills up, you'll be knocked back, which releases your grip on the enemy and stuns you. You can mitigate this by upgrading your strength and buying weapons in the store to use on enemies instead of picking them up.

Also, one of the benefits to playing multiplayer is that overcharge fills up much slower when there are multiple players trying to lift a single enemy.

In addition to overcharge, Half Moon also lowers the amount of health the truck healer restores to 25, and monsters will no longer die instantly from pits. They'll still take a lot of damage, but depending o⛦n their overall health, they can still survive it.

If you find yourself struggling with the higher difficulties, there are 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:plenty of mods available that you can install to make surviving higher levels a bit easier. Just beware that while the developers support the use of mods, they aren't able to help if a mod breaks your game.

Full Moon - Level 15

Level 15, the Full Moon phase, doesn't bring anything new to the game, just a few slight adjustments.

Overcharge will now fill up 25 percent faster when you grab monsters, and the monsters will take even less damage when thrown in pits.♋ Smaller enemies, like Upscream or Chef, who have low health will still die from pits. The larger enemies, like Robe or🍌 Trudge, are the ones you'll really have to worry about.

Now that the monsters are getting tougher, your best strategy might be to reserve the pits for the smaller enemies and use your guns and grenades on the bigger enemie♋s.

Super Moon - Level 20+

The final phase, Super Moon, affects level 20 and beyond. Now your overcharge will fill up 50 percent faster when you grab monsters, and enemieཧs will tak🦩e even less damage from pits than before.

A fun effect that the Super Moon brings, though, is that orbs dropped by enemies now explode whenever they're destroyed. So beware! These extremely fragile valuables are now ticking time bombs. One fumble ꩵcould mean injuring yourself or a teammate.

However, the explosive effect can also be used against other enemies. If you don't plan on extracting the orbs for cash, just hit the monster to bre𝔍ak the orb and ⛦witness the explosive chaos.

For now, these are the only moon phases the devs have placed into the game, but they've said that they plan on adding more.
