While Rematch has a handful of ways to play, when it comes down to it, the cornerstone of the game is its 5v5 ranked mode. If you w🎉ant to have the best matches possible, that is where the best players are going to congregate. And if you've played a few matches with the greediest players out there, you will pine for the more organized𒐪 play of ranked mode.

Look to team-up ꦅin Rematch? We'll show you the way!

This guide is here to give you the brass🐠 tacks of everything involved in the ranked mode. We'll tell you everything f🐲rom how many ranks there are to how ranking up works. We'll even fill you in on everything we know about the mysterious placement system.

Getting Started

Playing as the keeper in Rematch.

The first thing you'll need to do in order to start is to complete your placement matches. Depending on how you perform, you will be placed somewhere between Bronze 3 and Silver 1. One thing worth noting is that the grading doesn't seem to be wholly decided by the resu🍨lts of each game. Players have reported losing three of their five matches, yet🌠 still being placed in silver.

Others report having won the majority of their matches, yet still being placed in bronze. I personally was placed in Bronze 2 despite my team going three for five. So, individual performance clearly factors into your ranking as well.

How Many Leagues Are There?

There are six leagues in total: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Elite. Additionally, each league has three divisions. So, if you start at Bronze 3, you will need to clear Bronze 2, then Bronze 1 to reach Silver 3. Once you cross over into a higher leaಌgue, you won't be able to be demoted🌳.

Until you hit the Elite rank, that is. At that point, you can be knocked back down to Diamond.

How Do You Rank Up?

Shooting at the goal in Rematch.

Naturally, you will need to win matches. You gain 20 points for every win. Your individual pe💎rformance does not factor into this. The only thing that matters is the end result of the match.

If you lose, you'll lose between 16 and 18 points.🥀 Similarly, playing well doesn't appear to mitigate the point loss. It will take 100 points to clear a division, so that is 300 points to hit the next rank.

How Promotion Matches Work

Moving up a rank in Rematch.

Once you have clawed your way up to the top of a rank, and earned enough points to cross the threshold, you won't simply rank up. Instead, you will have to engage in a promotion match. This is a best-of-three ordeal. If you are able to take two of the matches, you will ascend to♕ the next rank. If you lose your promotion match, you'll need to fight your way back. Womp womp.
