To be a Pokemon Go player is to be a disgruntled Pokemon Go player. Anyone who consistently plays the game also consistently complains about it, including me. My on-again, off-again relationship with Go 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:recently restarted w𝔍ith a bit of friction, and I haven’t managed to fit it back into my daily routine just yet. Go’s missing that spark that got everyone hooked when it first launched in 2016, and while there’s been a lot of big updates over the last year, nothing has felt like a jumping-on point for new or lapsed players. With the announcement of Rediscover Pokemon Go, a three-week campaign of new updates starting later this month, Niantic might have finally landed on the right update to bring excitement🗹 back to Pokemon Go.
Today, Niantic is launching four major updates for Pokemon Go. It starts with Rediscover Yourself, an overhaul to the avatar system that adds new customization options, as well as changes to the style shop. There’s been some controversy about this update, as first impressions to early beta screenshots were largely negative. It’s understandable that people are attached to the avatar they’ve been using for so many years, but hopefully this update improves customization options without changing the way our avatars look too drastically. We all remember what happened when 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:they changed Professor Willow﷽&rsq🗹uo;s look, after all.
Of the four updates, Re💃discover Yourself is the one I’m least excited about. Discover Your World, on the other hand, could be a game changer. On April 22, Go is getting a visual overhaul to bring the real-world into the game. We’ll see the in-game biomes change to reflect wherever you are in the world, whe♓ther that be at a beach, in a city, or hiking in a forest. Just like the in-game rain effects, this update will make the world of Go more dynamic and immersive.

Within One Minute Of Restarting Pokemon Go, I Remembered Why I 💖Quit
Pokemon Go can be a difficult game to get back into, especially if you leave you🔯r inventory a total mess.
It’s not a mechanical update, but it’s an important milestone for Go. Despite years of added features and complexity, Go looks almost exactly the same as it did in 2016. A new visual style has the potential to grab people who haven’t played before or haven’t played in a long time. When people catch a glimpse of someone playing the new-and-improved Go out in public, they’re going to be intrigued by its updated look. Once they get in they can appreciate all the quality-of-life changes and gameplay improvements that have been made over the years, but it's the look that’s going to grab people’s attention. This is Go’s second chance at a first impression.
If it wasn’t obvious that Rediscover Pokemon Go is all about bringing🐓 back lapsed players, the update on April 22, Rediscover Kanto, seals it. Long-time players might groan at the idea of another 151-themed event, but going back to the beginning is exactly what Rediscover needs to do. In the same way the Let’s Go games introduced Kanto to a new generation, Niantic is using this Rediscover campaign as a new jumping-on point for Pokemon Go. As someone who’s still missing a few OGs, I’m so excited to relive the Summer of ‘16 in Go.
Finally, Rediscover Your Reality comes on May 7, which revamps the Snapshot feature. We’ll soon be able to take pictures with up to three Pokemon at the same time, and I’m expecting to see some creative Pokemon combinations all over social media when the update launches. We don’t know yet what other features the new Snapshot mode will include, but I’m excited to surround myself with my favorite Eeveelutions, or try to break the game by adding three Falinkꦦs to the show (that’s 18 little guys).
There have been a lot of meaty updates in Go over the last couple of ye🉐ars. Campfire is a whole new app that adds a suite of social features and ties all the Niantic games together, Routes give you new, directed ways to play Go and work together with other players in the community, and Shadow Raids gave players a new incentive to pursue old Pokemon. These visual enhancements and throwback events might not seem like a big deal to current players, but this is exactly what Niantic needs to do to grab people’s attention and remind them how much fun Pokemon Go can be.
