Something else you can disassemble to get some XP in a skill is dumpsters. You're never going to have to use them, and they are something that post-apocalyptic America wouldn't really worry about. So, if you have a propane torch and welding mask, you can then disassemble any of the dumpsters you come across.
Not only is this an easy way to get quick XP as there are dumpsters all over different towns, but they can also reward you with some of the highest XP in th⛦e Metalworking skill out of various things you can disaไssemble.

You don't want to neglect the other skills in Project Zomboid, and this is where kill missions come into play. What you'll want to do is go out into a certain area of town and then begin to kill zombies that are around. Get comfortable and use it as a training ground of sorts; sprint and sneak around when you can.
This will not only help out your more physical skills like Fitness and Strength, but it will also have you get more comfortable with the zombies around and will build up your other skills whilst clearing out some z♏ombies.
