Although it looks cool and, crucially, fits perfectly in the lore and overall vibe of Mount Qaf, this Time Power isn't very interactive, and there are very few areas of the game that incentivize you to use it in a challenging manner.

The Mandatory Double-Jump

The Double-Jump is a mandatory and iconic part of Metroidvania games, but it isn't a very interesting Time Power. You knew you'd eventually get it, and you use it for nothing other than platforming and exploration.

It serves almost no purpose in combat, especially when you unlock The Fabric Of Time. The Gravity Wings power is nothing more than checking the "Double-Jump" box. Yet, to be fair, Ubisoft Montpellier, once again, took time and effort to make it fit within the game's aesthetic. Instead of a generic jump animation, you get some fancy-looking crystals that make it seem that Sargon is using some kind of time travel to achieve this extra boost.

4 🔯 Shadow Of The Simurgh

Who Doesn't Love Time Travel?

Shadow Of The Simurgh is an intriguing Time Power and is actually quite versatile. Still, you probably won't use it that much in combat, especially when you unlock all six powers. You leave a ghost version of yourself locked in whatever activity you were doing, be it a jump, dash, crouch, or attack, and you can go back to that same position and action whenever you want to.

There are some interesting puzzle challenges utilizing this tool and some rare occasions where you can use it as an offensive tool in combat. It is snappy, fun to use, rewards you if you pay attention and pre♚pare ahead of time, and allows you to really min-max your damage and position in boss fights.

3 The Dಌimensional Claw

The Coolest Looking Time Power

This is one of the coolest-looking Time Powers in the game and one of the most fun to use. Funnily enough, the game's combat challenges don't teach you how to use this in combat, but you can. The Dimensional Claw creates a rip in time and space, which allows you to store an item or an enemy in your theoretical pockets.

Explosive items can be thrown using the Claw again, opening previously inaccessible areas or giving you an extra tool in combat. When dealing with groups of enemies, you can also remove the most annoying o🔯ne and spawn him aga🍨in after dealing with their pesky friends.

2 The Rush Of The Simurgh ﷽ 🐈

Spoiler: You'll Never Stop Using It

The air-dash is almost as omnipresent in Metroidvanias as the double-jump, but that doesn't make it any less fun to use. Having access to The Rush of the Simurgh will transform Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown completely. It allows you to access new areas, it's constantly used in platforming challenges and puzzles, and it is also a fantastic combat tool.

The Rush of the Simurgh is fast, responsive, and rewarding to use and has a very satisfying animation on top of it all. Once you get this Time Power, you won't ever want to go back to those beginning hours when you could only dash on the ground.

1 The Fabric Of Time ✃

The Fanciest Of Grappling Hooks

The Fabric Of Time is the last Time Power you'll unlock and only becomes available in the last few hours of The Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, but it is well worth the wait. It is a grappling hook that resets your Rush of the Simurgh and double-jump, unlocking completely new platforming challenges and an entirely new dimension to your aerial combat game.

You can use it to pull yourself towards enemies or pull them towards you. When used well, this can extend your combos for so long that they'll feel never-ending. The final boss fights of the game use this wonderfully to bring you entirely new challenges, and the number of areas you unlock with this Time Power makes it the most memorable Time Power you'll use in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown.
