This game also has a mechanic called Athra, which gets charges whe⛎n you attack an enemy. H🦂owever, if you successfully parry an enemy's attack, this Athra gets a ton of charges as well, making it easier to use various abilities.

How To Parry Enemy Attacks

While playing Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown, once you reach Mount Qaf, you'll find enemies in almost every room. Each enemy has a unique set of attacks that you have to get used to. However, there are only so many attacks you can dodge at a time, especially when yo🌊u're surrou🎶nded by multiple enemies.

This is where you can use your Parry ability by pressing the correct button just before the enemy's attack is about to hit you. When you hit a successful parry, you'll see a giant blue ܫglow on the battle with a specific sword sound. The time you get to successfully parry an attack depends on your difficulty settings, but you can also change it at any ꦍpoint.

If you change difficulty settings in the middle of a run, you'll have to respawn again for them to take effect.

However, much like every other game with a parry mechanic, not all attacks can be parried. H👍ere's how you can easily differentiate between the two:

Attack Type

Parry Interaction

Normal Attack (no glow on the enemy)

These are the most common attacks for regular enemies, but you'll hardly ever see them against main bosses. To parry these attacks, you have to 🍨pay attention to the enemy's weapon and learn when they'll hit you.

An archer shooting at you also comes under these attacks, and you can send their arrows back to them if you parry at the right time.

Yellow Glow Attacks

These attacks are one of the most important to parry in any fight. Almost every regular enemy and boss has a yellow glow attack, and if parried successfully, you perform an execution move on the enemy.

This move usually defeats a small enemy and deals massive damage to the boss enemy instantly.

Red Glow Attacks

These attacks are commonly seen on main bosses or bigger enemies. You can't parry these attacks, and the best course of action is to move out of the way or dodge at the right time.

Keep in mind that the Parry mechanic is a double-edged sword because you'll also face consequences if you do it too early. This can be seen with a special red effect all over your screen, and you take far more damage than you normally would from that attack.

Spoiler: Once you defeat Menolias in a battle, you can get an Athra S🎶urge that'sღ capable of countering even red attacks.
