Ubisoft's upcoming remake of the legendary action-adventure game 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Prince of Persia: Sands of Time is still on track for release in 2026, according to a graphic released by Ubisoft on soཧcial media.

ಞThere were no murmurings of a delay, but given the troubled development of the remake up to this point, fans always fear the worst. The graphic details the history of the Prince of Persia series, beginning with Prince of Persia in 1989 and ending with... you guessed it, the Sands of Time remake that's set to release in🦂 2026.

Ubisoft Montreal relꦰeased a teaser trailer earlier this year announcing the release date. The trailer depicts an extinguished candle that reignites inꦅ the window of a Persian city... you know, because of time travel. It's typical teaser trailer fare, but a released by Ubisoft in conjunction with the trailer had some interesting tidbits.

"The landscape of remakes has evolved a lot since the first inception of the remake of Sands of Time. There have been some big players that clearly redefined the bar," said creative director Bio Jade Adam Granger. "We made some🐻 big changes to the 3Cs (Character, Camera, Controls), and had to build prototypes to make sure our new controls still feel good with the old gameplay, and sometimes we need to change them."

Granger is correct, fans' expectations for remakes have chan🔯ged significantly over the past five years. We've seen high-profile success stories in Resident Evil, Silent Hill 2 and Final Fantasy 7, with titles like Metal Gear Solid Delta: Sꦉnake Eater also on the way. Fans expect remakes to give them new experiences, to justify their hefty price tags.

The Sands of Time remake was originally in development at Ubi⭕soft Mumbai and Ubisoft Pune and was scheduled to release in early 2021. Fans weren't a big fan of the visuals in the announcemen🌠t trailer, and the game was eventually delayed until March 2021. Then, an indefinite delay with an expected release sometime between 2022-2023. Two years ago, Ubisoft Montreal took over the development of the title and said it wouldn't be released in the projected window. In July, the 2026 release date was announced.

Ubisoft and its founding Guillemot Family have had it rough lately as the publicly traded company's stock price has been in free-fall over the past year. A recent report that the family and business partners Tencent are looking to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:take the company private has buoyed the stock price.
