We’re going to list two builds, one that focuses on disabling multiple enemies with Wood Hammer, and another that is designed to lock onto the enemy carry where possible. Trevenant can be a solid flex pick if your teammates instalock the more prestigious roles, while still being fun to play.

When To Pick Trevenant

Trevenant is ideal when you’re up against teams that boast significant Sp. Attack. Its base Sp. Defense stat is among the highest in the game, and while its base Defense isn’t up there with the likes of Snorlax, Crustle, or Blas🐽toise among Defenders, it will more tha💫n hold its own.

Also, if the enemy comp contains a hyper-carry that you feel could dominate your lineup, Trevenant offers a great balance. Paired with the 🍬right items, you can bot𒈔h nullify the carry and provide goal-scoring potential to your team.

You won’t be a full tank like Snorlax🌸, especially as some moves consume health, so you shouldn’t be too reckless. Play smart, and you’ll be high🔥ly effective.

Trevenant: Disruption Build

If you need a build that is more designed around preventing the enemy team’s movement and access to your goa꧒l, this one is perfect. It’s effective at dealing with single enemies, but far more so when you’re surrounded by enemies or when the opposing jungler comes to push the lane.

• Wood Hammer
• Horn Leech

Both moves have crowd control built-in and actually work better when Trevenant is under siege. The stun built into Wood Hammer lasts longer the lower its health is when used, while Horn Leech provides a heal on collision. Throw in Trevenant’s Unite Move, Phantom Forest, and it’s an effective combo that can lock up the enemy for enough time for your c💞arries to do their thing.

To maximise the use of Phantom Forest you’ll want to pick up the Energy Amplifier for cooldown, while Focus Band is pretty much a must on any tank. Given you’re playing a support role, the Buddy Barrier provides great utility. For the Battle Item, we’d go with either the Slow Smoke for more utility or the Goal Getter to aid in scoring.

Trevenant: Sacrificial Tank Build

This build is riskier to play but provides incredible potential for locking down a single opponent. Pain Split is the key here, as it nullifies the per-second HP cost of using Curse for the initial engage. The combo isn’t easy to pull off, which is where the risk-🍨and-reward ꦍaspect comes into play.

Curse costs a significant 4% of your maximum HP for six seconds, for a total of roughly a quarter of your life. However, the damage-over-time to enemies, alongside a movement slow that ramps up the lower your health is potentially game-changing. You’ll need to stick close to your linked enemy for Pain Sp🐈lit to be effective, which is why this build is best suited to locking down carries.

Luckily, this build uses more or less the same items as the disruption build above. Keep the Focus Band and Buddy Barrier as a core, and then switch out the Energy Amplifier for Score Shield if you believe your team needs more scoring than utility. Your Battle Item cho♉ice is 🀅highly flexible, too.
