Pokemon TCG: Snorlax Pidgeot ex Deck Key Cards
There are many cards you can include in the Snorlaxꦜ Pidgeot ex deck that can help increase your chances of a successful game. These are some of the most significant and beneficial cards to play.
Snorlax
Released in the🌄 Pokemon𒉰 Go expansion, Snorlax is an essential player in many decks that fall into the stall archetype.
Snorlax’s Block Ability will keep the defending Pokemon from retreating—so long as Snorlax is also in the Active Spot. Paired with many of the gusting options fe🔯atured in thi✃s deck, you’ll be able to make powerful plays with Snorlax, trapping Pokemon unable to deal a lot of damage at once in the Active Spot.
Pidgeot ex
Pidgeot ex is a unique addition to this deck, one that truly sets the Snorlax Pidgeot ex deck apart from other Snorlax Stall variants. This Pokemon’s Ability allows you to search your deck for any card in your deck, once per turn. Because of this, it is the equivalen♋t of a🧜 Forest Seal Stone that you can use turn after turn.
This deck features many Rule Box Pokemon, including Pidgeot ex, whose Abilities are essential to receiving the best outcomes with this🤡 deck. As a result, there may also come a time when Pidgeot ex’s attack is beneficial. This is because the effect of Pidgeot ex’s Blustery Wind is that it allows you to discard a Stadium in play. As a result, you’ll be able to get rid of Path to the Peak. You can also get rid of Stadium cards like Beach Court that could potentially make retreating or switching easier for your opponent.
This deck also plays Spiritomb, a valuableꦿ Pokemon that prevents V Pokemon from using their Abilities. While this won't affect Pidgeot ex, it will affect other cards in this deck, such 🔯as Rotom V. Pidgeot ex can help remove Stadiums in play, but it cannot stop Spiritomb's Ability. Because of this, be careful when choosing to Bench Spiritomb.
Chi-Yu ex
As𓆏 much as it focuses on stalling, the Snorlax Pidgeot ex deck also focuses on milling. There are three ways to win in the Pokemon TCG: by taking all of your Prize Cards; by Knocking Out all of your opponent’s Pokemon in the Active Spot and Bench; or by your opponent being unable to draw for turn. When you mill, you focus on achieving the last win condition by actively discarding cards from your opponent’s deck through Abilities, attacks, and Trainer Cards.
Chi-Yu ex can aid in this process. With its Jealousy Singe attack, you’ll be able to discard the top two cards of your opponent’s deck at the expense of a single Basic Fire Energy attachment. While this at꧋tack does no damage to your opponent, it does provide the opportunity to slowly dwindle away at your opponent’s resources. Because of this, not only are you working towards decking out your opponent, but you are also milling away valuable resources that they may be unable to retrieve.
Luxray V
Luxray V is another valuable mill card in the Snorlax Pidgeot ex deck. Its Fang Snipe attack will allow you to look at your opponent’s hand and discard a Trainer card there, while also dealing up to 30 damage.
This card is beneficial for two reasons. First, it provides a 𝔉second method of milling your opponent. Next, it also lets you see what your opponent has in their hand. This deck only plays one Erika’s Invitation, and, although there are methods included to return it to the deck, it is still important not to waste this card.
As a result, if you use Fang Snipe and find a Basic Pokemon in your opponent’s hand, so long as no hand changes occur through Iono or similar cards on the next turn, you’ll know that the Basic Pokemon is still in hand, all🅷owing you to confidently play Erika’s Invitation.
When it comes to discarding, Trainer cards include more than just Supporters. Stadiums, Tools🌃, and Items are all examples of Trainer cards as well. This means that when using Luxray V’s attack, you’ll be able to discard some of the most beneficial cards in your opponent’s hand.
If you’re focused on keeping a certain Pokemon in their Active Spot, this can be a good time to discard any switching options, like Switch or Escape Rope. Or, if a deck🧸 that values Stage 2 Pokemon, you can discard Rare Candies.
Many of these cards cannot be retrie꧅ved from the discard pile, allowing you to effectively limit youꦐr opponent’s resources.

It's wall-to-wall bl🎃ocking with the Pokemon TCG's Snorlax Stall 🌳Deck.
Pokemon TCG: Snorlax Pidgeot ex Deck Strategy
The main goal in the Snorlax Pidgeot ex deck is to prevent your opponent from taking Prize Cards while milling their deck.
The best way to do this is by forcing weaker Pokemon into your oppo🦩nent’s Active Spot that cannot easily retreat while utilizing a variety of gusting options to switch between Block Snorlax, Chi-Yu, and Luxray V. Pidgeot ex can allow you to find a single card in your deck each turꦿn, ensuring you have what you need for this deck to succeed.
For the majority of the game, you’ll want to keep Snorlax in your Active Spot while setting up the rest of your Bench. Then, you’ll want to alternate between milling your opponent with other attackers in the deck and stalling them.
Since every Pokemon in this deck aside from Pidgeot ex is a Basic, you can use Penny to scoop up Pokemon with damage counters in order to prevent your opponent from taking a Prize Card. This can also help rotate Pokemon in and out of🦹 your Active Spot as needed.

Pokemon TCG: Snorlax Pidgeot ex Deck Common Threats
Decks with high draw potential and gusting options can pose the largest threat toward the Snorlax Pidgeot ex deck. This is because Snorlax’s Block Ability only preven🔯ts the Active Pokemon from retreating manually, not switching through the use of Trainer cards.
One of the most common examples of this is the Lost Zone archetype. The initial turns of the deck utilizing the Lost Zone mechanic are often spent switching between Comfeys andᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ other Pokemon as needed.
As a result, paired with the high draw potential of Comfey and𒈔 the typical Supporters played, this deck can easily switch between Pokemon using Item cards. This can mak🔴e it difficult to keep a particular Pokemon in the Active Spot.
In certain situations, the Miraidon ex deck can pose a large threat to this deck, especially with Iron Hands ex. This is because th𒁃e Miraidon ex deck often includes several different options for powering up different Pokemon and accelerati♏ng Energies.
It also often plays differe💫nt switching options. This can allow them to easily ready up an Iron Hands ex in the Active spot. Then, because the Snorlax Pideot ex deck plays many low HP Pokemon worth two Prize Cards, this deck can more readily succeed at taking up to three Prize Cards at once.
Pidꦫgeot ex is also weak to Lightning/Electric, making it t𝓰ake twice the damage from Pokemon of this type.
