This expensive Charizard card typically trades in the $300 range for lightly played (LP) copies, though you'll likely pay the market price if you're only searching for a near-mint (NM) copy. Despite its rarity, this Charizard card should remain among the upper echelon as more sales are recorded on TCGplayer, though the market for vintage cards like this typically doesn't list this card on that platform, especially in raw condition. With an NM copy pr🦩iced below $600, look for this card's market price to drop slightly.

Though ex cards had been around for several sets before this one was released, fans clamored over this card as itꩵ felt like a functional reprint of the original Base Set thanks to some very similar powers and attacks that came with this card.

There are only a few recorded sales, with a lack of sales leading to a lower-than-expected, though some listings are priced far higher. While the🌃 lowest listed copy is priced far above market price, it's only a matter of time until anot🗹her sale pushes this card up.

5 Blaine's Charizard (Holo Rare): Gym Challenge – $936.79

A First-Rate Team

A few things are going for Blaine's Charizard to help boost its value among collectors. First, there's a pretty good chance that any given copy of the card is goi🔯ng to have one of two misprints on it. The first is on some versions of the card, the rules text on the Roaring Flame attack will feature a Fighting Energy symbol instead of the correct Fire Energy symbol.

If it doesn't have that error, then it'll have a regular Fire Energy symbol, but the word 'Energy' will have a lowercase 'e' instead of the correct cap𒊎꧋italized one.

To be fair, the Fighting🐻 Energy version also features the lowercase 'e🙈', but it is unique among cards that such a huge error was able to slip past the production process twice since they occurred in two different print runs of the card.
