Arceus V And VSTAR

Both the V and VSTAR forms of Arceus offer a variety of benefits. In both stages, you’ll find that Arceus provides energy acceleration and damage. With its VSTAR Ability, you’ll have the one-per-game ability to search your deck for any two cards. This is the equivalent of being able to use two Forest Seal Stones, all within a single card that also offers a 200-damage attack and energy acceleratio🌃n.

On your second turn, you’ll want🃏 to at🔴tack with Arceus VSTAR in order to attach energy to the main attacker of this deck, Regidrago VSTAR.

Regidrago VSTAR

In most of the decks in the format, except perhaps Lugia VSTAR, a Pokemon in the discard pile is a loss. That is, it is no longer a card you can use or access without the help of Trainer cards like Super Rod or Rescue Carrier. However, in the Arceus Regidrago Deck, one of the main goals of the deck is actually to get as many Dragon Pokemon as possible into the discard pile.

This is because Regidrago VSTAR is equipped with the attack Apex🍸 Dragon. For three energies — two grass and one fire — Regidrago VSTAR will be able to attack using the move of any Dragon Pokemon that is in your discard pile. This will also apply the effects of any attacks, such as Noivern ex’s Dominating Echo, which prevents the opponent from playing Special Energies or Stadiums during their turn.

Path To The Peak

Outside of Arceus VSTAR’s ability, the Arceus Regidrago Deck doesn’t rely on the abilities of Rule Box Pokemon, unlike many other cards in the current meta. With this deck, going first is the optimal choice. This helps to establish Arceus VSTAR faster, whose attack has the same effect as its V counterpart while also dealing 200 d🍬amage. The ideal first turn will include at least one Arceus V on the field with an energy attachment. The next turn, you’ll look to evolve into Arceus VSTAR, attach the last energy needed for its attack, and ensure that you have the cards needed for your third turn.

On your third turn, the most ideal play will have you attacking with Regidrago VSTAR. As a result of this, on your second turn, it may be best to use Arceus VSTAR’s ability to search the deck for any two card⛎s. Otherwise, this ability can be beneficial later in the game, if it is needed at all. An additional Arceu𓄧s VSTAR can also be a helpful player on the field, providing an additional attacker.

With the main attackers of this deck established and set up on the field, the Arceus Regidrago Deck becomes a strong disruption deck. Placing Path to the Peak in play will prevent the ability of Rule Box Pokemon, preventing cards such as Tera Charizard ex and Radiant Greninja from performing their abilities.

Using Regidrago’s Apex Dragon attack, you can utilize the attacks of any discarded Dragon-type Pokemon. This allows for you to use takes that reduce incoming damage on the next turn, cause special conditions, or even s♛hred through effects o🥂n your opponent’s active Pokemon.

Arceus VSTAR's Starbirth ability can be essential for setting up your bench. However, since it is the ability of a Rule Box Pokemon, you will not be able to use it if Path to 🧸the Peak is in Play.

Arceus Regidrago Deck Common Threats

Although the purpose of the Arceus Regidrago Deck is to attempt to counter even the strongest of meta decks, no single deck can perfectly counter everything in the format. As a result, while this de🍃ck has many matchups it excels in, there are some decks or cards to be wary of.

The Miraidon ex Deck is one of the greatest threats to the Arceus Reigdrago Deck. This is due to the Miraidon ex Deck’s ability to quickly accelerate basic Electric Pokemon due to Miraidon ex’s Tandem Unity ability as weღll as accelerate energy to heavy attackers like Miradion ex or Raikou V using Electric Generators.

Although Arceus V and Arceus VSTAR offer ample opportunities to match the energy acceler💖ation in various decks, because the Miraidon ex Deck can do so without ending the turn, it poses a large threat for unevolved V Pokemon on your bench.
