The concept of a crossover between Pokemon and another franchise, as impossible as it is, is something that we've all thought about from time to time. In fact, there are numerous communities regarding this topic on popular websites like Reddit, Wattpad, and Discord. There are popular crossovers like 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokemon and Digimon, but there are a few you wouldn't think of. One such crossover is Pokemon and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Sonic the Hedgehog.
These two worlds seem completely different, but, upon closer inspection, they 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:share quite a few similarities. Both are home to a wide variety of creatures capable of feats of great strength and speed and elemental manipulation. The only difference is that those from theཧ Sonic universe, also known as Mobians, can speak. In terms of design, there are a few Pokemon who♒ could easily fit in with Sonic and the gang.
9 Hawlucha
Gen 6's Wrestling Pokemon is an 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:interesting take on the Flying type. Giving literal meaning to the "high-flyer" wrestling style, Hawlucha primarily lives with two feet on the ground but is capable of performing gravity-defying feats of acrobatics at a moment's notice. It's also capable of actual flight, though it prefers its stunts.
Given that this Pokemon shares aspects with masked wrestlers, Hawlucha could very well pass as an avian-type Mobian in a costume. Additionally, this Pokemon's large and expressive eyes fit very well with the style that various characters from the Sonic series possess.
8 Buneary
A common trait for Sonic characters is an exaggeration of a trait or ability that the animal they're based on possesses. For example, foxes are known to be incredibly smart thus Miles (Tails) Prower is a genius. Echidnas are capable of burrowing and Knuckles the Echidna can dig through stone. Even Cream the Rabbit, who's based on a lop-eared rabbit, is capable of using her ears to fly.
Buneary is 🌃the perfect example of this trait. Not because it can hop higher and further than the typical rabbit, but because of the power behind its ears. Instead of punching or kicking, Buneary prefer to strike opponents with their ears, hitting them with enough force to shatter boulders. Not exactly odd in the Pokemon world, but it would fit perfectly in the Sonic universe.
7 Dewott
Most Mobians tend to use th🅘eir natural abilities to aid them in combat. Sonic with his speed, Knuckles with his... knuckles, and Tails with his ability to fly. That said, there are those like Amy Rose that require items or weapons to bring out their full abilities. For this reason, Dewott would fit perfectly into the world of Sonic the Hedgehog.
While Dewott is a Water type, and thus capable of using a variety of water-based attacks, this Pokemon's main mode of combat is their swords or scalchops. Dewott, along with the other members of this evolutionary line, use these seashell-like items as swords and each Dewott is known to have their own style of sword fighting.
6 Meditite
Spirituality is something that is rarely touched upon in the Sonic universe but still plays an important role for characters like Knuckles and Tikal. While Knuckles acts more as a guardian, Tikal has been shown performing acts of prayer and meditation directed toward the Master Emerald. Religion aside, there is a certain Pokemon that's all about meditation.
Meditite, the literal Meditate Pokemon, would be the perfect addition to this type of culture. Sure, it's not an echidna, but it is a monkey and such a creature wouldn't be out of place in this world. Granted, the artists would most likely give the Psychic-Fighting type a tail to make it fit in better, but the Pokemon would still fit.
5 Scorbunny
The Sonic movies introduced an interesting element in the lightning that surrounds characters when they use their abilities. What seemed like a simple aesthetic was proven to be more when the blue blur caused an accidental power outage with said lightning. Because of this, an Electric-type Pokemon wouldn't be out of place in Sonic's world, but there's another Pokemon that also fits.
Scorbunny have yellow sacks on the bottom of their feet that store their fire energy. Because of their location, not only do the majority of their fire-based attacks stem from their feet, Scorbunny also leaves trails of burning footprints whenever they run. The idea of one of these little bunnies keeping up with S෴onic all while flame💙 trails behind it is something we definitely need.
4 Braixen
While many are familiar with characters from the Sonic series exhibiting feats of physical or mental prowess, there are some who rely on other methods. In the comics, there are those capable of using magic to manipulate the world and its elements. With this type of ability being prevalent in this world, a certain vulpine mage wouldn't be out of place.
The middle stage of Kalos' Fire starter was specifically designed after a stereotypical mage, complete with a wand used to channel the Pokemon's fire abilities. While it's not technically magic, such a character would be right at home in the Sonic comics.
3 Floragato
Yet 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:another feline Pokemon that refused to stay on all fours. Design opinions aside, Floragato is another Pokemon that tends to rely on a weapon to fight. The hard pink flower bud that this Pokemon keeps on its neck is, in reality, attached to the end of a vine hidden in Floragato's scruff. The Grass Cat Pokemon uses this vine to swing the bud around like a yo-yo or a mace.
Weapon aside, this Pokemon's personality makes alone would make it welcome in the Sonic world. While many of Floragato's traits can be attributed to that of the typical cat, they're exaggerated enough to make this Pokemon very similar to Rouge the Bat. Both enjoy showing off, they're surprisingly efficient in battle, and both have a mischievous streak to them.
2 Riolu
Like other Fighting types, Riolu innately have exceptional strength and stamina, something that most Mobians also possess. In addition, Riolu are sensitive to a special type of energy known as Aura. Aura, as described in the Pokemon world, is the essence of 💞all living things. Riolu, and Lucario, being sensitive to this energy can manipulate it in a myriad of ways.
While magic tends to be the go-to for Mobians without natural enhancements, there are a few who manipulate the life energy of their world to perform supernatural feats. Even Sonic has shown a similar ability when he taps into 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the Chaos Emeralds. A group of Riolu could believably form a tribe where they practice Aura manipulation within Sonic's comic universe.
1 ꦚ Iron Valiant
Iron Valiant may seem like a strange pick for a Pokemon that could fit in with the Mobians, but this 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Paradox Pokemon oddly fits. Yes, this Pokemon isn't an anthropomorphic animal, but there are other non-animalistic characters in this world. Granted, most of these beings aren't robots, but there is a group that Iron Valiant would fit in with.
Dr. Robotnic, or Dr. Eggman, is known for making robots designed to destroy Sonic and his friends. It wouldn't be a stretch to have him create a robot like Iron Valiant to do his bidding. After all, you have to admit that this Pokemon's eyes bare a striking resemblance to those of Metal Sonic.
