Summary
- Pokemon has revealed four new sleeping plushes to coincide with its first anniversary Pokemon Sleep celebrations.
- Some of the plushes are inspired by Pokemon Sleep, like the Pikachu on Snorlax design, and Larvitar clutching a clump of dirt.
- The plushes will be exclusively released in Japan on July 18, but hopefully they will eventually be rolled out worldwide.
It's been a whole year since Pokemon confirmed its series of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokemon Sleep announcements wasn't one long fever dream and that it really had come up with a way for us to quite literally catch Pokemon in our sleep. A sleep tracking app that gives you a Snorlax and Pokemon gather around it while you slumber, the way you sleep and how long you sleep for dictating the types of Pokemon that show up. A lot is going on in-game to celebrate Pokemon Sleep's first birthday, and a new collection of sleeping plushes is coming too.
shared images of the four sleeping Pokemon getting their own plushes, all of which will be available to buy later this week from July 18. Unfortunately, as is so often the case with Pokemon merch, the plushes will only be available in Japan. However, if items end up being popular enough, they usually get a worldwide release. Considering how popular Pokemon's sleeping plushes tend to be, I'd say there's a strong chance that's going to happen.

Pokemon's Newest Jumbo Plush Is A 59-Inch, $450 Arcanine
Not quite life-size, but it's pretty darn big.
Joining Pokemon's sleeping plush collection this week are Gengar, Eevee, Larvitar, Snorlax, and Pikachu. Yes, I did say there are four plushes and just listed five Pokemon. That's because Snorlax and Pikachu come as a combo. Pikachu is curled up asleep on Snorlax's tummy, just like the atop-belly sleep Pokemon do in Pokemon Sleep. That makes it the best of the four, and you know it must be good for anything Gengar-themed not to immediately be my favorite in any Pokemon collection.
Happy Birthday Pokemon Sleep!
Even though sleeping Pokemon plushes aren't new, this latest quartet is quite a bit different from most others in the collection. Eevee, for example, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:🔯already has a very popular sle🐽eping plush. However, this new design has the Normal-type flat on its back rather than curled up like it and most of Pokemon's other sleeping plushes tend to be. Gengar's new plush has the Ghost-type on its side with its tongue hanging out, and Larvitar is holding a half-eaten clump of dirt, more evidence that these plushes are directly related to Pokemon Sleep.
Some of the shots of the new plushes put them alongside others in the range, including 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the Cubone Pokemon released last year. Receiving a lot of attention at the time, Cubone's sleeping plush has a single tear embroidered into the corner of its eye. Heartbreaking for those who know their Cubone lore. The Pokemon is believed to be wearing the skull of its dead mother, and the tear is brought about by Cubone dreaming of its mom while it sleeps.
