Which starter should you pick in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokemon Scarlet and Violet? It’s a heavy question, as your first pal is a sentimental choice for many Pokemon fans. And with Fuecoco, Quaxly, and Spr🎉igatito all adorable in their own ways, choosing between the three starters can be 𓆉pretty tough.
You’ve also got to weigh out what your starter’s💯 final evolution will be, too, since Pokemon starters never stay small for long. Our guide has all the info you’ll need on the Scarlet and Violet starters, as well as their evolutions, to help you choose which starter to go for in Paldea.
Updated on June 9, 2023 by Gabrielle Castania: With the love for Scarlet and Violet still ongoing, we’ve come back to our guide to choosing a starter Pokemon to give you a bit more info on all the Pokemon: Scarlet and Violet evolutions. The final evolution of your Pokemon starter is definitely something to keep in mind when deciding, especially if the final evolutions of the Scarlet and Violet starts mess up your type spread!
Fuecoco: The Fire Starter
Fuecoco is a small crocodile-like cre༺ature with a big goofy smile that can make you melt just by looking at it.
Although Fuecoco isn't the fastest Pokemon starter, it makes up for it by being quite bulky and having a higher Special Attack stat compared to the other starter Pokemon. It's resistant to six Pokemon types, and only weak to three.
Early on Fuecoco can learn Yawn to put its enemies to sleep, and Incinerate as well which is a 60-power move that also burns the opponent's held berry as a bonus.
Fuecoco's Evolutions
At level 16, Fuecoco evolves into Crocalor, then into Skeledirge at level 36.
While Crocalor retains the Fire-only typing, Skeledirge is Fire-Ghost dual type. This means it resists seven types, and is immune to two. Unfortunately, with the Fire typing, it's weak to five types to counter its resistances.
Throughout its evolutionary chain, Fuecoco learns very powerful Special moves.
This is definitely worth taking advantage of given its impressive Special Attack stat, which will allow you to cash in.
Torch Song is particularly interesting with Fuecoco's evolution, due to its 80-power stat and the fact that it raises the user's Special Attack stat by one stage for each use.
Compound this bonus with Skeledirge's already-high Special Attack stat, and you've got a guaranteed tank for your raid team.
But let's not let Torch Song overshadow that Skeledirge also has access to other strong Special moves, too, such as Flamethrower and Shadow Ball.

Gaining the dual-typing will often change a final evolution's effectiveness a bit, so always keep secondary typings in mind!
Sprigatito: The Grass Starter
Sprigatito is a sweet little cat Pokemon who's meant for players that like to hit hard and fast.
Unfortunately, the counter to that is that Sprigatito and its evolutions all have relatively low HP stats compared to the rest of the Scarlet and Violꦓet starters.
For quick battles against weaker Pokemon at the start of the game, Sprigatito is a great choice. But, without investing in its HP, Defense, and Special Defense stats to counter its deficiencies, Sprigatito can turn into a glass cannon, weak to five types and only resistant to four.
Sprigatito's Evolutions
At level 16, Sprigatito evolves into Floragato, which then evolves into Meowscarada at level 36.
Meowscarada's dual typing is Grass and Dark, making it weak to seven types, immune to Psychic, and resistant to six types.
Its base Attack stat is considerably stronger than its Special Attack, so it's best to invest in Physical moves. Early on, its strongest move is Bite, but since it hasn't become a dual Dark-type yet, it won't get a STAB boost on Bite until evolving into Meowscarada.
Seed Bomb hits pretty hard with an 80-power attack, which Floragato learns at level 17. Meowscarada can pick up both Flower Bomb and Night Slash, which even has an increased crit ratio,

Quaxly: The Water Starter
Quaxly, the adorable pompadour-ed duckling, is a gentle soul that likes to keep its surroundings tidy, and it tends to overthink. And stat-wise, Quaxly has the most balanced stats betwee👍n all the starters, which can be a pro or con, depending on your play style.
In terms of starters, this ambiguity can be good, allowing you to decide how to build your Quaxly as you go and cover all your grounds in the main story. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Competitively speaking, this may be different, but it depends on your f🌳inal bui🐓ld.
Early on, Quaxly can learn Wing Attack, a useful 60-power Flying-Type move, and Aqua Jet, a priority Watꦿer move that might just come in handy when you need to finish off an oppo♕nent quickly.
Quaxly's Evolutions
Quaxly evolves into Quaxwell once it reaches level 16, and then into Quaquaval at level 36.
Quaquaval is a dancer with incredibly strong legs, which is why this Pokemon gains a Fighting dual-type after evolving, making it resistant to four types but weak against five.
To make up for this, Quaquaval can learn moves that hit hard, such as Close Combat and Wave Crash.
If it's 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Hyper Trained to have a high Attack stat, having Feather Dance in its move pool is a must, since it raises its Attack stat by two additional levels each time it's used.

Which Starter You Choose Is Ultimately Up To You
In the end, it's impossible to say which starter is the best, because it's not an objective choice. Since different players all have different play styles, it's difficult to pick a universal "best," with everyone after different things.
Since this Pokemon will likely accompany you throughout the game, with many players opting to keep their starter's final evolutions around, each stage of the evolution line is important to consider when choosing your Scarlet and Violet starter.
Additionally, each final evolution in Scarlet and Violet can be powered up further with Tera-typing, so experiment and find out what's best for your play style.
And after all is said and done, check out Surprise Trades every now and again, as people are often 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:breeding for perfect IVs on their starters and will ditch the ones that didn't fit the bill in Surprise Trades. This is a great way to get all three Scarlet and Violet starters, and their evolutions!
