The Indigo Disk is 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokemon Scarlet & Violet's second and final big downloadable content adventure, and while it sports a solid story and a fun setting, it's a bit lacking in the brand-new Pokemon department. But that's OK; it's got so many returning favorites, our heads will be dizzy for months in a bid to re-catch 'em all.

Pokemon ☂Scarlet & Viole🦩t: The Indigo Disk – 8 Best Throwing Styles

In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: The 🎃Indigo Disk, you can now throw your Pokeballs like a pro. Or a ninja. Or whatever you want to do!

What Indigo Disk does have in spades, however, is plenty of new moves - 15 to be precise. And while they've all got their uses, some are naturally going to be handier than others. Here are our thoughts on the top slice of the list.

6 Temper Flare ✱

Temper Flare is the definition of situational. 75 base damage, especially with Same Type Attack Bonus, is nothing to scoff at, but that alone does make a fantastic move. Temper Flare's power is doubled if the user's previous attack missed, and while there's hardly a wasted turn in more casual, in-game play, you have to be quite picky about your every action competitively. It's not something you'll necessarily want to 'waste' your turn on if it doesn't double its damage.

That said, there are ways to make it click. It synergizes great with moves that have remarkably low accuracy rates; after all, those moves are likely to be incredibly powerful if they do land. And if they don't, that's when you let your Fire Pokemon's... temper flare.

5 Psychic🐬 Noise

Psychic Noise is less about the damage and more about the aftershock. It doesn't Burn, Confuse, or anything of the sort (although that'd be icing on the telekinetic cake). Instead, it prevents the target from recovering HP for two turns. Think about the sheer number of stallers in strategic party composition. There's a darn good reason they exist. And while there are other forms of stalling besides HP bulwarks, that's at least a major aspect of most heavy-duty role-fillers.

You can shut down entire team-wide stall strategies with Psychic Noise. It's hard not to admire that.

4 ꦦ All꧋uring Voice

Another prime example of proper timing, Alluring Voice is a Fairy-type move with a not-too-shabby 80 base power. But again, that'll only get you so far if you're shooting for the big leagues. Much like Psychic Noise, Alluring Voice's trick relies upon your opponent's own tactical decision-making. The move will inflict Confuse status on a target that has boosted its stats in the same turn. To trigger this outcome, Alluring Voice must thus lack priority, but the number of speedy statꦛ-boosters out there is sky-high.

Following the trend of somewhat deceptively devastating new moves from Indigo Disk, Dragon Cheer is all about maintaining an edge in specific sorts of scrapes. There's plenty of folks out there (ourselves included) who like to tap into moves that reduce the risk of defeat by pumping up their Defense and/or Special Defense, making Dragon Cheer another wall-breaking savior in the right situation.

Dragon Cheer increases the user's critical hate odds, and while there are a handful of non-Dragon Pokemon who can learn it, you're better off saving it for your Dragons. After all, it amps those odds by two stages rather than just the one if so. The odds are well and truly in your favor at that point.

2 Electro Shot ༺

An Archaludon that just evolved in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.

Only the newly-introduced Archaludon can wield the Electric-type, Special-based Electro Shot, and if you weren't already thinking about adding one to your arsenal, this ought to tilt your head. In the proud tradition of modeling moves after the age-old Solar Beam, Electro Shot requires the user to gather energy on the first turn before unleashing it on the second. There's a neat twist: it elevates the user's Special Attack on the build-up turn.

But what make Electro Shot positively shine is its immediate fire-off in rainy conditions. The 'Rainmaker' strategy of setting up the playing field accordingly has been popular for a long time, as it synergizes quite neatly with plenty of follow-ups. Add Electro Shot to the list, because goodness gracious, a boosted 130 from a Pokemon that benefits from Same Type Attack Bonus and has an impressive 125 base Special Attack to begin with? That's terrifying.

Deciding the best Indigo Disk move between Electro Shot and Mighty Cleave wasn't an easy task, and truly, you can't go wrong with either. Exclusive to Iron Boulder, the Violet-only Pokemon counterpart to Scarlet's own Raging Bolt, Mighty Cleave may have the lower power, but it comes packed with a perfectly poppin' twist: it slices straight through Protect and Detect.

Let's type that one more time, with feeling: it slices straight through Protect and Detect. Truly, Game Freak had it out for wallers and stallers in Indigo Disk. We'd love to see this move make the jump to future Pokemon games, too, as its base power is amplified by 50 percent if the wielder has the Sharpness ability. Which, well, Iron Boulder doesn't.
