Pokemon was created in Japan, and that means some of the merch that comes along with its games, movies, and TV shows is often not available outside of its home country. Those of us who want the usually very desirable Pokemon merch exclusive to the Japanese Pokemon ♎Center either have to pay through the nose to get it shipped halfway around the world - if that's even an option - or wait and hope it's popular enough to get a worldwide release. Today is one of those great days where the latter has happened as Pokemon's Soda Pop plushes are now available outside of Japan for the first time.
There are so many Pokemon plush♛es that making new ones unique is a tall order. Especially when the only stars of a plush line (so far) are popular Pokemon who have already been turned into soft toys time and time again. Pokemon's Soda Pop plush collection includes Squirtle, Charmander, and Bulbasaur, and the line's softer designs not only make the plushes unique to any others the starters have received before, but it has also resulted in them being hugely popular.

Pokemon Has Transformed Ditto Into Various Items Ofꦅ Clothing For Itﷺs New Collection
Ditto used Transform. It was super effective.
That's the only explanation for them being released outside of Japan, and it also likely means they won't be available for long. Hopefully this isn't a case of them being gone for good once they sell out and if they do sell out fast, they will be items that are regularly restocked. Sinc🎃e some of you will have likely loved them enough to have them shipped from Japan rather than wait for them to potentially be available in the US Pokemon Center, I can't imagine the Soda Pop plushes will struggle to sell any time soon provided they remain in stock.
