In this guide we’re going to break down everything you need to know about the various evolutionary items you can collect and use in Pokemon Go. Updated on July 10, 2022, by Gabrielle Huston: Pokemon Go is often being updated with new generations of Pokemon, new events, and more! Thus, it only made sense to revisit this article and make sure that you were kept informed of all the Pokemon that require an item to evolve.
Dragon Scale Evolutions

This is another item that only has one evolution to be paired up with, so your choices are limited, but it’s worth it. Seadra evolves into Kingdra, which gives it a Dragon-type.
Plus, Kingdra looks cool as hell. Though it feels like they could’ve found a better Pokemoꦡn to use a Dragon Scale, honestly.
King’s Rock Evolutions
Pokemon That Evolve With A King's Rock |
|
The King’s Rock was introduced in the second generation of Pokemon, and was specifically made to introduce alternate evolutions to two of the Pokemon from the Kanto region.
If you’ve stacked enough candy and have a King’s Rock, it should be simple 💟to evolve Slowpoke or Poliwhirl into their new fo🐼rms.
Sinnoh Stone Evolutions
Sinnoh Stones evolve a lot more Pokemon than any other item, so we have a guide dedicat🥃ed to it specifically! Check it out her♕e:
Since there are so many Pokemon that use a Sinnoh Ston🐭e to evolve, you may find yoursel🐲f in need of some extras! Learn how to get them here:
Metal Coat Evolutions

You can think of the Metal Coat as a kind of buff for metal Pokemon. If you're looking to clear out some space in your inventory, trashing some Metal Coats is a good option. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网💫:Onix and Steelix are surprisingly underwhelming.
However, the other Pokemon that evolves with Metal Coat is worth it. Getting enough Scyther candy can be a tough task, but if you can do it, Scizor is 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a valuable Pokemon to have.
Sun Stone Evolutions
Pokemon That Evolve With A Sun Stone |
|
The Sun Stone is one of the items on this list that's actually required to upgrade a significant number of Pokemon! We don't recommend tossing this one out for a little extra inventory space.
Many of these are fan-favorites; most of them are cute, flowery Pokemon that require sunlight to thrive. The only one that isn't a plant is Helioptile, but that's because reptiles are cold-blooded and also need to sit in the sun.
Unova Stone
The Unova Stone, like the Sinnoh Stone, is region-based and is involved in evolving a lot of Pokemon. As such, we provide full details here:
You may have trouble tracking down Unova Stones since they're only obtained through a few methods. We provide help on finding them here:
Up-Grade Evolutions
Pokemon That Evolve With An Up-Grade |
|
The Porygon Pokemon (and all of its evolutions) makes no sense. We don't pretend to understand it. It's a computer Pokemon, so it evolves with an "Up-Grade."
You'll need another item (a Sinnoh Stone) to evolve Porygon2 into PorygonZ.
