Pokemon Friends has a free base version for iOS and Android; however, you a🍷re limited to how many plushes you can craft per day, and there are only ten puzzles, 20 plushies, and five types of yarn. You can choose to purchase the Basic Pack or either of the Puzzle On! packs for additional content, so we're going to cover exactly what's included in each one here.
For Nintendo Switch players, you can also purchase the base game (the equivalent of the🍃 free version combined with the Basic Pack, essentially) and the Puzzle On! a✨dd-ons too. Here's what you need to know.
Basic Pack Contents
The Basic Pack costs $9.99/£9.99 and includes the following:
- The daily untangle limit is lifted, so you can craft as many plushes as you want.
- You can use the calendar to view past records and replay puzzles from within the current month and past two calendar months.
- 20 new puzzles are added (30 for Nintendo Switch, as ten come as part of the free version for mobile).
- Six new types of yarn are added (11 for Nintendo Switch, as five come as part of the free version for mobile).
- 50 new plushes can be made via the Plush-O-Matic (70 for Nintendo Switch, as 20 come as part of the free version for mobile).
- You can save two extra setups of your plush room.
- You will unlock three new wallpapers for your plush room: Pika Playroom, Meadow Room, and Cozy Cabin Room.
- New quests are added to friend quests, and you can get six new furniture items as rewards: Piplup chair, Alolan Vulpix sofa, Magikarp trampoline, Goodra slide, Poliwag shelf, and a Plusle and Minun shelf.

- New quests are added to friend quests, and you can receive 15 new furnishings as rewards: starry wading pool, seashell floatie, dotted boat, sweet seat, cloud shelf, bubble shelf, mushroom stool, stump seat, leaf bed, acorn seat, nest shelf, mushroom shelf, rainbow sofa, Poke Ball pond, and fountain seat.

Puzzle On! Pack #2 Contents
The Puzzle On! Pack #2 costs $14.99/£14.99 and includes the following:

- Four new wallpapers for your plush room: Cute Constellation Room, Planet Playroom, Sunny Garden Party Room, and Starry Garden Party Room.
- New quests are added to friend quests, and you can receive 15 new furnishings as rewards: moon seat, planet seat, cosmic bed, UFO seat, shooting-star shelf, rocket shelf, tart plush bed, fancy platter, macaron seat, cookie sofa, rose shelf, ribbon shelf, height chart, jewelry-box seat, and gift-box seat.

Are The DLC Packs Worth It?
The Basic Pack is worth having if you're a mobile user, as without it you have a very limited version of the game that you'll soon get tired of or frustrated by the unravel limit. $9.99/£9.99 doesn't seem too steep for a cute little puzzle game with your favourite 'mon, but when you start 🍃to look at the additional DLC, it gets hard♋er to justify.
The Puzzle On Packs each add ten puzzles, 40 plushes, as well as other bits, but $14.99/£14.99 feels quite steep for what this is compared to what you get in the Basic Pack, which offers far more for the cost.
Of course, the most popular Pokemon are spread across different packs, so if you want all of 🐷the most sought-after ones, you'll feel compelled to purchase all packs. Gotta untangle them all I guess.
There are a couple of bundles that make the overall cost cheaper if you want to ensur🌠e you can fill your collection, but it's still a hefty price to pay for what it is:
