Nintendo pretty much has the mainstream handheld gaming market cornered right now thanks to the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Nintendo Switch and now the Switch 2. However, there was a hot minute there when 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:PlayStation looked like it might have cracked the handheld code, and now it has teamed up with Good Smile to create a neat collectible that celebrates its first foray into t꧑he world of handhelds.

I am, of course, referring to the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:PlayStation Portable, or the PSP. The collectible has been created by, and was subsequently revealed by, Good Smile, best know💙n for its Nendo🌺roids, which turn iconic characters, many of which have been pulled from famous video games, into chibified versions of themselves.

Stop using your old PS2 as a pillow, that's weird, and replace it with this PS2 plush instead

Not only is it more comfortabl💎e, but there's no risk of the disc tray popping out and hitting you in the face in the middle of the night.

Giving that sort of makeover to an inanimate object is a little tricky, which probably means Good Smile's PSP might not technically be a Nendoroid. Details about the figure are scarce at the moment, with Good Smile simply noting its "coming soon". We do know what they're going to loo✤k like, though, and that the figure will be available in two color options - black or white.

The PSP is being turned into a cool collectible to celebrate PlayStation's birthday

There will actually be two products to choose from, both of which will be available in black or white. The larger models, which Good Smile has desꦓcribed as acrylic stands, are filled with symbols modeled after the icons you'd find on the PSP's homescreen. The other, smaller PSP collectibles you can see pictured are matching keychain versions. They will still have pieces that rattle around inside, but those pieces are the symbols PlayStation has been synonymous with since the launch of its first console instead of the PSP homescreen icons.

The PSP stands and keychains have been created to celebrate PlayStation's ongoing 30th anniversary celebrations. 2024 marked 30 years since the release of the PS1 in Japan, but I guess its arrival spilled over into 1995 in other parts of the world. That means PlayStation can get a♊way with marking the occasions across two years instead of ju♚st one.

At the end of 2024, it gave the PS5 and all of its accessories grey PS1 makeovers to celebrate its birthday, and earlier this week, it revealed you'll have one more chance to get your 🐷hand🔜s on some of those celebratory items. The limited edition DualSense will be restocked in the US, while the grey console and Play🍰Station Portal will be available again in other regions.
