The Portal is effectively a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:DualSense that has been split in half and an eight-inch LCD screen popped in the middle. Despite an emphasis on using your home Wi-Fi by Pl𒉰ayStation, you can actually use your Portalꩲ to play games over any Wi-Fi connection. The only problems are internet speed and whether that connection is safe. A poor connection and low internet speed will affect how well the Portal works, and the same risks that come with connecting any device to public Wi-Fi naturally apply to the Portal too.

The PlayStation Portal is a handheld companion to Sony's PlayStation 5 console. Based around the features of a DualSense controller and Remote Play, it features an eight-inch LCD screen at 1080p resolution capable of 60fps, a headphone jack for wired audio.

That means, in theory, you could be on the other side of the planet from your PS5 and providing the device has already been paired with your console, you should be able to play games through your Portal. The only other caveat is that the PS5 needs to be turned on, but that shouldn't be a problem either. Your console can be turned on via the PlayStation app, so even if you can't directly wake up your PS5 using the Portal, you can simply turn it on through the app and then the Portal should be able to connect.

The only, albeit expected, downside is that two people can't use the PS5 at the same time. That means if your Portal is connected to the PS5 and in use, someone else can't hop on the console itself and play a different game on the TV. The TV can be used for anything else that doesn't require the PS5 though, of course. The Portal is available for pre-order now through the link above and releases on November 15.
