Updated at 04:07 am EST on October 10, 2024: The second wave of pre-orders for items in the PlayStation 30th-anniversary collection will go live today, arriving at retailers outside of PlayStation Direct for the first time. Everything you need to know, including times, prices, and where to shop the collection, can be found below.

If you missed out on PlayStation's PS5 Pro 30th anniversary bundle and everything else it gave a PS1 makeover to celebrate turning 30 last month, I have some good news. Today you will have a second chance to try and buy it. No resorting to scalpers who have been listing the Pro's birthday bundle 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:for as much as $10,000 on resale s🥀ites, although even if you fail again in your attempts to celebrate PlayStation's legacy by buying the bundle, I'd strongly recommen🌠d against turning to scalpers.

There are pros and cons to this second round of pre-orders. The biggest pro is that we know how much all of this is going to cost as we dive head-first into the chaos this time. After the reaction PlayStation got for revealing 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the regular PS5 Pro was going to cost🌳 $700, it decided to just let us find out how much everything in the anniversary collection cost when listings went live. The panic of mꦚaking it through the queue and then having to decide whether what you were waiting to buy is actually worth how much it costs.

Pre-orders for the PS꧃5 Pro open at retailers outside of Play🀅Station Direct starting today.

The biggest con is that pre-orders will go live across multiple retailers at the same time, meaning you've got various queues to wait in and sites to watch all at the same time. I guess on the one hand that means more opportunities to buy whatever it is in the collection you want, but be vigilant. The last thing you want to do is to be staring at a wait time on Best Buy while the thing you want is ready and waiting to go in you🍌r Walmart tab but ♚you forgot to check.

As was the case during the first round of pre-orders, the PS1-style PS5 Pro will not be available to buy separately and can only be bought as a bundle. The bundle includes a matching DualSense Edge, a charging station, and a cover for your disc drive if you have one or plan on buying one. Important to note that despite the pictures you might have seen, the grey disc drive cover you can see is just a cover, not a drive. The PS5 Pro is digital-only so if you want to use it to play physical media, you will need to buy a disc drive separately. Unlike the first time around, we now know that this bundle costs $999.99.

As was the case with the PlayStation Direct pre-orders, listings for everything in the 30th-anniversary collection across all major retailers will go live at 10 am EST. It's worth getting your place in the queue ahead of time though as the𒈔re's no telling when each respective storefront will get started. Below you will find links to the relevant pages for everything in the collection at Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, and GameStop as soon as pages for the various items become available.

Everything in the anniversary collection has sold out at PlayStation Direct. However, we've included the links to the🐷 store pages below just in case there's a surprise restock alongside pre-orders starting at other retailers today.

Pre-Ordering PlayStation's 30th Anniversary Console Bundles

  • PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary Bundle

The headliner in PlayStation's 30th anniversary collection, the PS5 Pro bundle is the upgraded version of PlayStation's newest console with a PS1 makeover. The bundle includes the console, a matching DualSense Edge, a charging station, and a grey cover for your disc drive if you have one.

  • PS5 Digital 30th Anniversary Bundle

Part of the PlayStation 30th anniversary collection, the digital edition of the PS5 has been given a grey makeover to make it look more like PlayStation's original console. The bundle includes the console, a matching DualSense controller, and a grey disc drive cover should you need it.

Sticking with the PS5 Pro bundle since, despite its almost four-figure price, it will be the most popular item again today, PlayStation noted only 12,300 will be sold, a tip of the hat to the original PlayStation release date. We have no idea how many of those are already gone, nor how they have been divvied up between the various stores. Thankfully, there's a lot more in the collection that will be cheaper and its numbers aren't limited. There's also a regular digital-only PS5 bundle which we now know costs $499.99, the sa🗹me as a regular PS5. Similar to the Pro bundle🗹, the base model comes with a normal PS1-themed DualSense and the same grey console cover.

If, like me, you just want to own a piece of this collection and don't necessarily want to have to buy an entirely new console to do that, some of the individual items in the collection can be bought separately. The DualSense Edge that comes with the Pro and the normal DualSense that's included with the regular PS5 can both be bought separately. The anniversary DualSense Edge is slightly more expensive than a normal version at $219.99, and the grey PS1 DualSense is $79.99 which is pretty m✅uch the standard for special edition PS5 controllers now.

The DualSense, DualSense Edge, And PlayStation Portal

  • playstation 30th anniversary dualsense

The DualSense has been given a grey paint job to make it look like the controllers we used to play our PS1s. The makeover extends to the face buttons, and the home button in the midd🏅le has been tweaked to look like PlayStation's more colorful original logo.

The DualSense Edge is the upgraded version of the PS5's DualSense, and this version is the great alternative released to celebrate PlayStation's 30th anniversary. The face buttons and the home button have their bright color scheme back, and it also comes bundled w🥂ith t💃he PS5 Pro's anniversary edition.

Last but not least is the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:PlayStation Portal. Yes, even PlayStation's handheld PS5 companion accessory is getting in on the birthday fun. Just like the rest of the collection, the Portal has been given a PS1-grey makeover. That includes a return of the traditional colors to the face buttons and the PS home button. The Portal also has PlayStation 30th Anniversary printed on the back. Similar to the Edge, the anniversary Portal is slightly more expensive than the normal white version of the accessory at $219.99.

The PlayStation Portal is a handheld accessory that can ෴be used to play PS5 games remotely. This version of the Portal is PS1-grey and included in the PlaꦰyStation 30th anniversary collection.

It wasn't clear until after the anniversary collection had gone live whether its items would be available to buy through other storefronts at a later date, likely another tactic by PlayStation to make people panic buy everything during the first wave of pre-orders. Thankfully,💫 there is a second chance, but I get the feeling today's pre-orders, particularly for the bundle, will be even more frantic than the first ones. Good luck out there, everyone.

If items bought today ship at the same time as anything bought during the first round of pre-orders, your anniversary items should be with you by November 21, 2024. That's two days before my birthday if anyone gets the urge to buy me something nice, PlayStation-branded or🐬 otherwise.
