One of the Persona franchise's most infamous bosses makes an appearance in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Persona 5 Strikers, but he's arguably a lot harder to find this time around. He's no longer a random spawn but instead, appears as part of a request from Oracle and Lavenza. There are also no exploit shortcuts to defeating him this time around either, so you're going to have to do it the hard way.
Defeating the Reaper is the key to unlocking New Game+ and Merciless Difficulty mode, so it's likely going to be a must for most Strikers players. However, receiving the Reaper request is going to take some time and effort, but we've got that all covered right here for you.
Pre-requisite Requests
The Reaper request is only available post-game after you have defeated the final boss. Additionally, you must have completed all Painful Past requests, all Painful Past+ requests, and all requests involving 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Powerful Shadows. However, defeating 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dire Shadows is not a requirement. Knocking on Death's Door
Once all of the above requests have been completed, the request "Knocking on Death's Door" will become available, asking you to travel to the Okinawa Jail to defeat the Reaper. Enter Okinawa Jail and travel to the Lab: South checkpoint, before heading towards the request marker shown on the map above, in the Cage of Desolation room. Intera🀅ct with the request checkpoint in the room to begin the battle.
Reaper Battle Phase 1
Prepare for the battle by ensuring you have a decent stock of medicine, such as HP and SP recovery items and some revive items too. Some of the best recovery consumables are 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the meals that you can make while cookin🍸g.
The Reaper has no strengths or weaknesses and will use various attacks that utilize different elements. As a result, just take your bಞest characters in terms of gear and level, and make sure that at least one of them is a dedicated healer, with Sophie being the best choice. Additionally, make sure you have some good Personas on hand for Joker and one of them needs healing skills.
The Reaper uses a mixture of -dyne spells, most of which can deal serious damage and inflict status ailments, so watch out for your teammates. Many of the Reaper's attacks can be dodged, especially the ones that follow you for some time before hitting. Just be careful of other attacks coming your way while you're outrunning the last one. The Reaper will also teleport around the battlefield.
Make sure you're using Baton Pass to change between your characters, making the most of each one and increasing the rate at which your Show Time gauge fills. You should be able to fire off each character's Show Time move in relatively quick succession to help deal some damage to the Reaper.
Reaper Battle Phase 2
Once the Reaper's HP falls to 50 percent, a small cutscene will play to show that the Reaper has become even stronger than before. This second half of the fight is much more difficult as the Reaper is faster, stronger, and spams attacks more often. It'll also start using a few new attacks, so be on your guard and be ready to heal up and revive often.
﷽The Reaper will now start using Megidolaon, as well as using Riot Gun, both of which can be deadly to your party. It will also focus more on Gun attacks rather than spells, soꦍ equipping a Persona resistant to Gun moves for Joker is ideal.
Overall, though the battle will be lengthy and difficult, there's nothing too tricky about it. You just need to keep an eye on your party's health and ensure that you have enough items to heal should your healer(s) fall.
New Game+
A🍸fter you have completed the request and turned it in, you will be prompted to head to the Velvet Room and speak to Lavenza. As the person behind the requests for the Powerful Shadows, she will be happy that you have completed all of her requests and will reward you with the Spiral Bookmark. This makes your current save file a "Mastered💫" save file, which allows you to begin a New Game + playthrough. New Game+ contains the following differences:
- Merciless Difficulty is now available
- Lucifer becomes unlocked for fusion
- Incense can be purchased from Sophia's shop
- Wolf will be available as a teammate from the very beginning
- Sophie has a different Persona
