- The mod isn't public just yet, though it is expected to be released relatively soon.
We all know that Persona 5's Joker is a gamer at heart, regularly retiring to his room for a session of Punch Ouch or Train of Life on his secondhand retro console. He views his own physical and mental health as stats to increase, you don't get much more gamer than that. He's clearly a connoisseur of the classics, and a new mod for 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Persona 5 Royal is finally giving him access to one of te most iconic retro games out there - Doom.
Clearly not content with making Doom run on a potato, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Lego brick, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:or even Doom itself, two modders have been working to get Doom completely playable on Joker's TV in Persona 5 Royal. These modders go by the usernames KingJack and Xan1242, and their work was recently shared by Twitter user ScrambledFaz earlier this week.
To play Doom, you'll need to take Joker to the second-hand store next to Leblanc and grab a copy for 670 yen. He's buying the shareware version of Doom, so he's technically being scammed, but what he doesn't know won't hurt him. Morgana then chimes in (clearly a massive Doom-head) with some info about the game, describing it as a game that "defined the genre of first-person shooters."
You Can Soon Play Doom In Persona 5 Royal
Joker then finds out it's the shareware version, which only allows him to access to the game's first level, but he pops it into his machine and then plays some classic Doom, with the ability to select the difficulty and mess around with the options. After beating the first level, Morgana congratulates Joker on a job well done and his Guts stats then go up, which feels very fitting. ScrambledFaz shares the whole process .
Unfortunately, you'll have to play Doom somewhere else for now, as this mod isn't available to the public just yet. KingJack and Xan1242 are still working on it behind the scenes, though ScrambledFaz ensures us that it's close to completion. You can keep an eye out if you want to try it out, but until then, you'll have to settle for another session of Gambla Goemon instead.
