Fortune And Strength Full Moon Battle Guide
Phase One: Arcana Strength
When the fight begins, Strength makes Fortune invincible, which essentially forces you to battle the Shadows one at a time, beginning with Strength. Unfortunately, not only will Fortune still attack despite not being able to take damage yet, but every other turn, it spins the Wheel of Fortune.
In P3R, the Wheel of Fortune itself is a bit different from how it was before. When the Fortune Shadow spins the Wheel of Fortune, red spaces inflict a negative impact for SEES and the Shadows, while the blue spaces instead (and thankfully) bring a positive impact for both SEES and the Shadows.
Effects from the Wheel of Fortune include:
- Having various attack, defense, accuracy, and evasion stats either boosted or decreased.
-
Immediately regaining or losing HP, which varies in intensity depending on the number shown.
- With the highest number being 300, this may be enough to kill a teammate, so be prepared to revive if needed!
- Nothing, faking out the group.
Previous versi𒁃ons of the game saw only SEES impacted by one color, while only the Shadows were impacted by the other. Now, bot🌜h colors impact both sides, just differently depending on the color.
The first time this happens during battle, you'll receive a positive effect, which allows Fuuka to cut in and explain. Once she does and the flow of the battle is established, use strong elemental attacks to deal damage to Strength, buffing the team as needed to 𝓡deal more damage wh𓆏ile taking less of it themselves.
Strength has a huge health pool, but she does go down eventually after hammering it on with heavy damage and consistent use of your Theurgy skills. When it does, you'll now be able to begin attacking Fortune as well, what with its protector's spell gone.
Phase Two: Arcana Fortune
Unlike Strength and its impressive elemental immunities, however, Fortune is weak to Strikes and Electric damage. And the first time you hit this Shadow, you'll understand why it goes second - it's considerably weaker than Strength, who is no longer around to protect it.
That makes Arcana Fortune especially easy to Down if you have Akihiko in the party. Whether it's him or your protagonist, exploit these weaknesses to Down the Fortune Shadow to deal massive amounts of damage as a group.
Fortune will continue to alternate between spinning the Wheel of Fortune and attacking your party outright, so the best course of action is to Down it as oᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚften as you can to deal a 📖heftier amount of damage.
Lay into the second Sha🌠dow until it goes down to finish the battle, and then watch as the SEES group changes forever during the lengthy post-fight cutscene.
