Arguably the heaviest of the Full Moon Battles you’ve had so far in , fans know the day of the battle with Arcanas Fortune and Strength for a number of reasons – one of them being the emotional story that♌ progresses immediately afterward that changes the tone of the story.
But to get to that, you’ll need to finish this famously difficult battle first, and the fight will be anything but straightforward, left to the whims of the Wheel of Fortune. For some help get🅺ting through this finicky battle in P3P, we’ve got you covered in our guide below.
We won't go into the story elements tied to this Full Moon Operation, but our guide may still contain some spoilers for Persona 3 Portable, so reader discretion is still advised.
Fortune And Strength Battle Setup
Your battle against Fortune and Strength in P3P takes place on 10/4.
Recommended Party
With Strength coming at your team with physical moves and Fortune adding wind magic to the equation, we went with Yukari, Akihiko, and Mitsuru for this battle.
Be aware that you won’t be able to include Ken or Shinjiro on your team for this battle due to story limitation𝓀s.
Yukari is not only a great healer, but she’s also got access to the skills needed to dispel ailments cast on the team. Strength will try to charm and distress the team, but with Yukari’s Charmdi and Me Patra spells, she’ll be able to cancel status effects before they can 🌼do much damage to your team.
She’s also got Re Patra, which can revive a fallen teammate to half-health.
Akihiko is good in this fight for his good strength skill behind his physical attacks, as well as his menu of debuff moves to use on the shadows to♚ lower their s♋tats in kind.
He also learns the passive skill Elec Boost at Lv. 37, which boosts the damage done by electric magic by 25 percent.
Mitsuru rounded out our team with additional healing magic. Similar to Akihiko, she learns Ice Boost at Lv. 45 for the same effect, just𒐪 to her ice magic insteaಞd.
Recommended Level And Personas
With Fortune and Strength both at Lv. 46, we'd recommend being at least Lv. 45 before attempting the fight. These shadows have high strength and magic, and will definitely deal damage if you're much lower than this.
As for your Persona, you'll want someone who knows Evil Touch and Ghastly Wail, as the two Full Moon shadows are both susceptible to fear.
We brought Mot into the battle to satisfy that, who can be fused beginning at Lv. 45. However, Mot doesn't learn Ghastly Wail until Lv. 48, so be sure to train it up a bit before the fight, lest the 𒁏eওxploit with Ghastly Wail be unavailable.
Fortune And Strength Stats And Affinities
While the two shadows have different attacks, their affinities are the same in that both nullify light and dark, but have no other affinities.
The good news about that is that any attack wi🐻ll deal a normal amount of damage, with one less thing for you to𒁃 worry about.

Fortune And Strength Battle Strategy
This battle is a bit different from the rest of the two-target fights you’ve had, in that you can only attack one target at once. The fight starts against St𝕴rength, and once she goes down, Fortune will be available for attack.
You can’t attack Fortune directly while Strength is still alive, and multi-target hits will hit only Strength. You need to fight them one a꧒t a time.
While Strength is still in play, she knows both powerful physical attacks, and how to rope your party in with charm.
If possible, dispel charm immediately, as charmed teammates may skip their attack or even heal the boss instead of hurting them. I▨n a fight that’s already long, don’t give someone a chance to help the other side.
By keeping a Persona on you that nullifies charm, yourꦡ MC🐻 will be safe from the affliction and can act as the healer if needed.
The Wheel Of Fortune
You’ll notice early in the fight that Arcana Fortune attacks with a giant Wheel of Fortune instead of coming at you directly.
After each round in battle, Fortune will summon its wheel onto the field, after which point, you’ll need to spin the wheel to see where it lands, and then simply watch as that affect is applied.
There are a few variants of the wheel that you may see. For🔯tune will try to do one of the followi🌊ng:
- Afflict status ailments to one team.
- Raise or lower one team’s HP.
- Buff or debuff either SEES or the enemy shadows’ team.
- Deal different levels of damage to one of the teams.
Spinning the Wheel of Fortune, as you may suspect, will apply the effect you land on to whichever team received it, but you’ll need to know which color impacts which team.
Any wheel segment that’s colored red will be of help to the enemy team, applying the effects of the wheel onto SEES. Conversely, when the spinner lands on a blue section instead, it’s of help to your team instead.
Therefore, you’ll want to always be aiming for blue, even as the blue sections grow smaller and fewer and furth💧er between𒁃 as the battle ticks on.
The spinner will typically stop on whichever wheel segment is opposite the spinner when you hit the button to stop it.
Keep your eye on the top of the wheel instead of the spinner, and you’ll all but be able to ch🅘oose which affect it lands on.
As the fight progresses, the pieces on the Wheel may change size, with Fortune offering you far fewer and smaller wheel segments with ꧒which to hurt it once it’s in🐼 battle by itself.
Afflict The Enemy Shadows With Fear
A way to end the battle in as few as two moves, depending on how lucky you get with the Wheel, is to bring a Persona capable of casting Ghastly Wail into this fight, as one of the options on the status ailment spinner is to afflict fear to the opposing party.
If your Persona knows Evil Smile, like the Mot we suggested, they can inflict the fear themselves without waiting for Fortune's turn.
Granted, the fear will only impact whichever shadow you’re directly fighting, with Fortune avoiding the ailment if it’s not yet in battle. That means you'll have to do this twice to kill both shadows with this method.
If you manage to land on the right spot and afflict fear onto the opposing team, you can then follow it up with Ghastly Wail to instantly kill any enemy afflicted with fear.
Otherwise, the fight is a pretty straightforward slugf🐟est, if you’re not exploiting the wheel. Finish up this fight and proceed into one of the more emotional moments in P3P.
