Welcome back to your second month of TheGamer’s official 100% walkthrough for the female protagonist of ! Aཧs you head into your second month at Gekkoukan High on Tatsumi Po💜rt Island, you’re beginning to get a feel for the mechanics and are about to have a slew of new social links, blocks of Tartarus, and more to keep you busy this month.

RELATED: 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Persona 3 Portable: Beginner Tips

Continuing on from our April walkth💮rough, May is the first month when the game stops holding your hand and gives you more freedom than before. We’ll be busy this month, so fo🌸llow along with our journey.

By nature of completing🌺 the game, this series of guides will contain spoilers for plotꦓ points in Persona 3 Portable. We do promise discretion where possible, though!

A few things to keep in mind as we segue into May in our walkthrough:

  • TheGamer’s 100% guides for P3P are modified from a translation of and have been further optimized for the January 2023 ports of Persona 3 Portable.
  • Our guides assume you've followed along with our previous walkthrough. If you need to double-check your progress against ours heading into May, check out 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:our P3P April Walkthrough 🐠for the FeMC.
  • Your social link progression will rely on you bringing a Persona of the matching arcana as the social link you’re spending time with that day. Not doing so can and regularly will set you back from our schedule, as forgetting your matching Persona will net you fewer affinity points.
    • Every time we go into Tartarus, we’ll make sure to mention which Personas to bring when you head back to the real world.
    • You’ll also be unlocking your Compendium this month, so this won’t be too much of a concern for long!
  • Any time spent with social links is fashioned in this guide as, ([Arcana]: Rank #), which reflects what rank you’ll reach during that scene. If you’ve only spent time instead of ranking up, we’ll note this as ([Arcana]: Time spent).
  • Our guide was written playing on Normal difficulty.
  • Though you won’t be forced to date anyone as the female protagonist, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:unlike her male counterpart, we will be in this walkthrough for sake of getting the trophy/achievement for doing so, titled, “That Special Someone.”
  • One of the trophies required to truly 100% Persona 3 Portable can only be obtained by playing a NG+ with the other protagonist, as you’ll need to have played the game as both the male and female to get it. Our walkthrough series aims to get you as close to perfect on each run as each individual protagonist can get on their own.
  • The number of music notes on screen when you earn points towards 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:social stats or social links is not how much affinity or progress you’ve earned. This number is a hidden mechanic, meaning your progress may differ from what’s on-screen.
  • Use different save slots periodically. If you’ve missed something or have fallen behind our guide, it’s always much easier to go back a few days than it is a few months to fix it.
  • To help keep you on track, we’ll end each month’s guide with monthly exit stats at the very end of the guide, complete with our current rankings for social links and stats.

With this said, let’s dive into the month of May in P3P if you’re playing as the female protagonist.

Persona 3 Portable Female Protagonist - May Walkthrough

Anyone who's played a game before knows that May is when the game stops holding your hand as hard as it did in April and ꦉbegins to l♏et you explore a bit more on your own.

This month, you'll be unlocking plenty of new social links as well as working on the ones we've started, heading back into Tartarus one more time to finish up Thebel for good, and, not least of all, have the first of your Full Moon Operations - this game's iteration of boss battles.

And with much to do before the fight, let's get started!

5/1: Friday

shinjiro at akihiko's checkup at the hospital staring at the female protagonist of persona 3 portable

After School

  • Automatic - any options are fine.

Evening

  • Study at the desk in your bedroom. (+Academics)

5/2: Saturday

After School

  • Today, we'll be fulfilling Request 56 from the Velvet Room and taking Theo to Paulownia Mall really fast.
    • To ask him, go to the Velvet Room and choose "Go on a date with Theo." The scene will then trigger automatically.
      • Dates with Theo or Elizabeth do not consume your time slot.
    • Before you go, turn in some of your other requests as well. Theo will do this for you automatically if you check your requests with the item needed to complete one.
      • You should have the Pine Resin to complete Request 73.
      • If you fought any Grave Beetles in Tartarus, you might have the Beetle Shell needed for Request one.
        • This is somewhat random, as enemy spawns are randomized, as is whether they drop loot or not.
        • However, the reward for this is ¥12,000, so if you've got one, accept the request and turn it in.
          • If you accept a request, but the deadline passes, it will be cleared from your task list for no charge, since you can no longer complete it.
      • You may also have found a Juzumaru while exploring Thebel. We had you accept this request last month, since it doesn't expire.
        • These are found in rare chests, which are golden in appearance throughout Tartarus.
    • When you're ready, head back out. The only quests you should still have pending are Requests and 68.
      • And even then, only if you haven't already gotten them. Request one expires tomorrow, but 68 doesn't have an expiration date.
      • If we don't find a Juzumaru tomorrow night on our exploration through Tartarus, we'll need to wait a bit to cancel this one until we have the yen to do so.
        • We're going to Thebel for the last time tomorrow night, so if you don't get it then, we've got to move on with the schedule.
        • That said, if we later instruct you to leave Tartarus for the night after a section and your team's still got energy, you're more than welcome to dive back to look again in Thebel.
  • When you're done, head to Bookworms to see Bunkichi and Mitsuko. (Hierophant: Rank 4)
    • Choose either answer.
    • Choose either answer.
    • Choose "That makes me worry..."

Evening

  • Talk to Yukari in the Dorm's Lounge to get some pine resin for one of Theo's Velvet Room Requests.
    • This item is only available today.
  • Go to Paulownia Mall's Arcade to play Print Club. (+Charm)

5/3: Sunday

the intro song to tanaka's amazing commodities on tv in the female protagonist's room in persona 3 portable
  • Today is the first time you can order from Tanaka's Amazing Commodities. The program is available every Sunday morning.
    • To watch the show, interact with the television in your bedroom. Tanaka will detail what items he has during the program, and you'll then be able to purchase right from home.
    • Tanaka's products change weekly.
  • Buy from Tanaka's Amazing Commodities: This week's deal is Yawn-B-Gone (1) and Muscle Drink (2) for ¥1,980

Day

  • We're headed to Bookworms in a moment, but we're making a pit stop first. Go to Iwatodai Strip Mall, to the right side of the screen, and interact with the Takoyaki stand with the octopus on it. Buy one portion of Weird Takoyaki for ¥400.
    • This isn't for today, but you're here now, and we'll need it in a few days anyway. (Food doesn't go bad in this game, so it can stay in your inventory.)
  • Go to Bookworms to see Bunkichi and Mitsuko. (Hierophant: Rank 5)
    • Choose: "It's what you 'beleave.'"
    • Choose either answer.

Evening

  • Speak to Mitsuru in the Dorm's Lounge to head back into Tartarus one more time to wrap up everything in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the Thebel block.
    • Tonight, you need to grind your MC to Lv. 12 at the very least. Not only is your first boss fight against a stronger Lv. 10 shadow in a few days, but you'll need a Lv. 12 Persona for your social links.
      • You can only fuse Personas up to your current player level. To fuse a Lv. 12 shadow, you must also be at least Lv. 12 or higher yourself.
      • We will not be fusing that Persona tonight. Until you unlock the Compendium, try not to let your Personas go, lest you need to venture back to Thebel to get them again. With much new stuff to do in P3P, we're trying to avoid doubling back.
        • The reason for this is that you'll need the same Persona more than once for the fusions we've got to do for this month's social links, but without a way to log them yet, we don't want to use them early and need to go back into Tartarus to find another one.
      • If you're struggling to level, check out our 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:guide to combat in P3P.
    • We're not covering new floors tonight, since you reached the final floor of the Thebel block of Tartarus last time we were here. However, we do have some final things to sort before the first Full Moon.
      • This will be your last chance to grind the team before the Full Moon boss fight.
      • It's also your chance to collect yen for the next month, as this is the only time we're coming to Tartarus during the month of May.
        • You'll also be working part-time until your skills are maxed out, so you'll be getting paid there as well.
        • However, between the chests around the block and the opportunity to win yen in Shuffle Time, grinding in Tartarus (and later selling your loot) is the best way to earn money in P3P.
    • The bulk of what we're doing here is just simply tying up loose ends before we move onto the next block next month. Go until the team starts to get tired, grinding for levels and searching for loot.
      • You may be able to trigger a few trophies tonight as well, such as:
        • "Grasping at Greed" for defeating a Golden Hand.
        • "Advantage Mine" for getting a Player Advantage in battle.
    • Be sure to leave with Personas of the Chariot, Hierophant, and Magician arcana for the social links we'll see in the next week, to be sure you're earning the most affinity.
      • In Thebel, those Personas are:
        • Chariot: Ara Mitama
        • Magician: Nekomata
        • Hierophant: Omoikane

5/4: Monday

  • If you're trying to stock up on new gear one more time before the first big fight in a few days, the police station always has a sale going on Mondays. You'll receive a discount on everything simply for coming in on a Monday, so save all shopping at the police station for Mondays to stretch your yen.

After School

  • Since you're likely 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:either Tired or Sick after Tartarus last night, go see Mr. Edogawa in the Nurse's Office to try some of his Experimental Medicine. (+Courage)
  • Part-time work at Screen Shot over at Port Island Station. (+Academics) (+Courage)

Evening

  • Part-time work at Cafe Chagall. (+Charm) (+Courage)

5/5: Tuesday

  • Your order from Tanaka's Amazing Commodities arrives today.

After School

  • If you're still Sick or Tired after Tartarus, go to the Nurse's Office to try some Experimental Medicine. (+Courage)
  • Go to Bookworms and spend time with Bunkichi and Mitsuko. (Hierophant: Time spent).

Evening

  • Part-time work at Cafe Chagall. (+Charm) (+Courage)

5/6: Wednesday

After School

  • If you're still Sick or Tired after Tartarus, go to the Nurse's Office to try some Experimental Medicine. (+Courage)
    • Make it a point to do this every time you're Sick or Tired. The boost will apply until you've maxed your Courage, whether you actually have your condition improved or not!
  • Go to Naganaki Shrine after school and speak to the girl at the playground to initiate the first trigger for the Hanged Man social link.
    • You'll need to speak to Maiko several times to complete everything.
      • Offer her the Mad Bull.
      • Offer her the Takoyaki.
      • Continue to speak to her until she says she'll see you again soon, and repeats asking if you promise when you speak to her again.
    • Maiko's social link doesn't unlock today, but you need to offer Maiko her snacks anyway, in order to unlock her social link when the time comes in a few days. We're just getting ready.
  • Go back to Gekkoukan High and go to sports practice. (Chariot: Rank 3)
    • Choose "That ain't happening."

Evening

  • Head to Paulownia Mall's Arcade to play Quiz Game. (+Academics)

5/7: Thursday

After School

  • Spend time with Junpei. (Magician: Rank 3)
    • Choose "Where do guy friends go?"
    • Choose "You know a lot about coffee."
    • Choose either "Coffee" or "Hot cocoa."
    • Choose "Maybe I should give it a try, then."

Evening

  • Go to Paulownia Mall's Arcade to play Print Club. (+Charm)

5/8: Friday

After School

  • Go to the meeting room of the committee you'd like to join. (Hermit: Rank 1)
    • School Health Committee meets in the Nurse's Office.
    • Library Committee meets in the Library.
      • Choose any responses for this scene, regardless of which committee you joined.

From this point on, Saori will be standing outside whatever room that hosts the committee you chose when you want to see her again.

She's in 1F Near Faculty Office if you've gone for the School Health Committee, but uses the entrance to the Library in 2F Hallway for the Library Committee.

Evening

  • Study at the desk in your bedroom. (+Academics)
    • Use a Yawn-B-Gone if you're tired, as studying here is important to your schedule.

5/9: Saturday

junpei anxiously reacting to arcana priestess on the first full moon operation in persona 3 portable

All Day

  • First Full Moon Operation

Today is the day of your very first Full Moon Operation, which are P3P's boss fights. Since Tartarus isn't a traditional dungeon, these super-strong shadows serve as your test between sections of Tartarus instead.

They take up the entire day and are important fights! For all the info you'll need on the 5/9 Full Moon Operation against Arcana Priestess, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:this guide is dedicated to the entirety of the battle.

5/10: Sunday

  • Today, your Velvet Room attendant will call to tell you that a new block of Tartarus has opened. Hold tight, though - we won't be going for a little bit.
    • Additionally, you finally have access to your Persona Compendium, where you can store and later withdraw Personas as needed.
  • Tanaka's Amazing Commodities is selling two skill cards. He has a Garu card and a Zio card available for ¥2,980. If you can afford it, buy them - having more elements at your disposal never hurts.

After School

  • You're definitely either Sick or Tired from the Full Moon Operation, so go to the Nurse's Office in the 1F Near Faculty Office hallway to take some of his Experimental Medicine. (+Courage)
  • When you're done, head to Bookworms for more time with Bunkichi and Mitsuko. (Hierophant: Rank 6)
    • Choose "Please stop fighting."
    • Choose either answer.

Evening

  • Drink one Yawn-B-Gone if Mr. Edogawa's medicine didn't cure you, and then study at the desk in your bedroom. (+Academics)

If you attempt to study while Sick or Tired, time will pass, but you will not gain Academics from it - not just on this night, but every night.

Don't study while Sick or Tired without using Yawn-B-Gone first to clear your condition.

5/11: Monday

  • If you need to buy things at the Police Station, a discount is applied today.
  • Stay awake in class. (+Academics)

After School

  • Head up to 2F Classroom Hallway and talk to Rio.
  • Go to sports practice with Rio. (Chariot: Rank 4)
    • Choose either answer.
    • Choose either answer.
    • Choose either answer.
    • Choose "Don't let it get to you!"
    • Choose "Nope."

Evening

  • Part-time work at Cafe Chagall. (+Charm) (+Courage)

5/12: Tuesday

  • If you bought the skill cards from Tanaka's Amazing Commodities on Sunday, they arrive today.
  • In the evening, if you go to the Command Room on 4F at the Iwatodai Dorm, you'll find a humorous scene with Ikutsuki.

After School

  • Talk to Yukari in your classroom and agree to spend time together. (Lovers: Rank 2)
    • Choose either roses or gerbera to earn affinity with Yukari.

Evening

After School

  • Attend a committee meeting with Saori. (Hermit: Rank 2)
    • Choose "Of course!"
    • Choose either answer.
    • Choose "You should've come talk to me."

Evening

5/15: Friday

  • In-class Answer: Bread. (+Charm)
    • "Your charm has increased from Plain to Ingenue!"

We leveled up here, but with the number of points earned not related to each music note on screen as you earn points, it's possible it may take you another charm-boosting action or two to also level up.

After School

  • Go to Bookworms to see Bunkichi and Mitsuko. (Hierophant: Rank 7)
    • Choose either answer.
    • Choose "Thank goodness..."
    • Choose either answer.

Evening

  • Study at the desk in your bedroom. (+Academics)

5/16: Saturday

Stay awake in class. (+Academics)

After School

  • Go to Naganaki Shrine to deliver on your promise to play with Maiko. (Hanged Man: Rank 1)
    • Choose any answer for this rank.

Although Maiko does establish a new social link, one for which you don't have a matching Persona yet, don't worry.

You don't need a matching Persona for your first or final ranks of a social link, so we'll worry about fusing one after our exams next week.

Evening

  • Go to Paulownia Mall's Arcade to play Quiz Game. (+Academics)

5/17: Sunday

  • Today, Tanaka's Amazing Commodities is selling an All-Purpose Katana and Cadenza (2) for ¥4,980.
    • This is a little pricey, but if you can swing it, this is a pretty powerful weapon for Junpei at this stage in the game.

Daytime

  • Go to Bookworms to hang out with Bunkichi and Mitsuko (Hierophant: Rank 8)
    • Choose either answer.
    • Choose either answer.
    • Choose "Let's go!"

Evening

  • Study at the desk in your bedroom. (+Academics)
    • "Your Academics has changed from Average to Above Average!"

If you did not rank up your Academics here, don't worry - you should still be okay for the exams, and will likely pop the ranking right afterward.

5/18-5/21: Exams

  • Welcome to your first exams! During exam periods at school, the only action you'll be allowed on test days is answering a question for the exam.
    • These will always be derived from questions asked in class, even if the wording is slightly different or the answer is opposite what you gave in-class.
    • We'll give you the answers for your exams day-by-day for each exam period.

5/23: Saturday

  • This is technically your final day of exams, but you don't have a question today - instead, the game assigns a score for the final day based on your Academics skill.
  • If you ordered from Tanaka's Amazing Commodities on Sunday, your package will arrive before school today

After School

  • Go to Paulownia Mall and head to the Velvet Room to use your Compendium for the first time.
    • You'll receive an intro to the Compendium from your Velvet Room Assistant.
    • After this, immediately register all the Personas you have. They stay in your stock, but they're also now logged for when you need to withdraw them again later.
    • If you've got the Personas on you that we recommended for your social links, you should at least be registering:
      • Ara Mitama (Chariot)
      • Forneus (Emperor)
      • Nekomata (Magician)
      • Omoikane (Hierophant)
      • Orpheus (Fool)
      • Plus whatever else you may have had in your stock
    • First, you need to fuse Lilim (Devil) by combining Ara Mitama (Chariot) and Nekomata (Magician).
    • Once you have your Lilim, withdraw another Ara Mitama and fuse the two together to create Inugami.
      • This is the Persona of the Hanged Man arcana you'll need to max your affinity earned with Maiko.
      • Withdrawing your first Persona from the Compendium unlocks the "Persona Memory Bank" achievement.
    • However, you'll also need a Temperance Persona early next month, so let's make one while we're here to save time later.
      • Combine Forneus (Emperor) with Nekomata (Magician) to create Nigi Mitama (Temperance).
    • Withdraw another Forneus (Emperor) before you leave, as we'll be beginning our Emperor social link before the end of the month.

As a principal, be sure you're registering your Personas regularly to keep your stock up-to-date.

  • When you're done with all your Compendium work, leave the mall and go to Naganaki Shrine to immediately put Inugami to use hanging out with Maiko. (Hanged Man: Rank 2)
    • Choose "Sure, let's go."
    • Choose either answer.
    • Choose either answer.
akihiko joining sees on 5-23 with junpei in the lounge at the iwatodai dorms in persona 3 portable

Evening

  • Automatic story progression at the dorm, during which Akihiko joins SEES.
    • Choose any dialogue during this scene.
    • After this, you can start adding Akihiko to your party when you go to Tartarus.
      • His elemental magic is electric, and he's also an excellent striker.
      • Eventually, he'll learn powerful debuff moves as well.
        • We wound up using Akihiko quite a lot in boss battles for that reason.

Akihiko now becomes available as a social link, too, but you'll need Rank 4 Charm to begin hanging out with him, under the intense gaze of all the other girls at school who like him. For now, he'll have to wait.

  • Go to Paulownia Mall's Arcade to play Quiz Game. (+Academics)

5/24: Sunday

  • Tanaka's Amazing Commodities is on today, but you'll have to miss the shopping program. You'll receive a phone call from a social link asking you to hang out, and when we've got it in the schedule, accepting the invite is necessary to ranking up your social link in time with our completion schedule.
    • Accepting these invites means you leave the dorm immediately following the phone call, so you won't have the chance to watch television or do anything else with your Sunday Daytime time slot once you accept.

Daytime

  • Rio will call you in the morning to invite you to spend time with her. Accept the invitation.
    • Choose "Yeah, sometimes."

Evening

  • Study at the desk in your bedroom. (+Academics)

5/25: Monday

  • Like every Monday, there's a sale at the police station on weapons, gear, and accessories.
  • Your exam scores will be posted during lunch today. You should have scored at least in the top ten, if not the highest, based on your current stats. (+Charm)
    • If this is the case, speak to Mitsuru tomorrow in the 1F Near Faculty Office hall to earn a reward for your hard work.
    • You'll also unlock the "Head of the Class" achievement for doing so.
  • Stay awake in class. (+Academics)

5/27: Wednesday

After School

  • Go to 2F Classroom Hallway and interact with the door to the Student Council Room to attend your first Student Council meeting with Hidetoshi. (Emperor: Rank 1)
    • Choose any answers for this scene.

If you're not able to join Student Council yet, you may have skipped talking to Ms. Toriumi when Mitsuru invited you to join, since we spoke to her about Student Council but went directly to Volleyball Practice from there to keep on schedule with Rio's social link.

Go to 1F Near Faculty Office and enter the Faculty Office itself to speak to Ms. Toriumi about it now, then return to the Student Council room for your first meeting ꦓas scheduled.

Evening

  • Part-time work at Cafe Chagall. (+Charm) (+Courage)
    • "Your Courage has changed from Timid to Ordinary!"

If you don't level up here, don't worry. You may have had fewer sick days than we did to drink Mr. Edogawa's concoctions, or your points paid out differently than the music notes implied, since they're not the number of points you earn.

Like with our Academics stat a bit earlier, you should level up in a time slot or two after continuing to work on your Courage if you didn't today.

Death ranks up after your conversations with Pharos, the boy who comes to visit during the Dark Hour. Meanwhile, the Fool arcana ranks up automatically throughout the story with SEES between now and November.

You'll notice that Death ranks up somewhat unevenly; Pharos skips over ranks two, four, seven, and nine.

Both of these social links are automatic with story progression, and you cannot miss them, nor can you influenc꧋e the🅠m.
