While we f🎶ocus mostly on combat in our boss fight guides, 🐷this article may contain spoilers for the plot of Persona 3 Portable.
Chariot And Justice Battle Setup
Recommended Party
It might be your first battle with her in your party, but Aigis is a pivotal member here. Her resistance to pierce damage will be an asset, as the shadows ahead focus on physical damage, and her attacks also deal good physical damage.
With status ailments almost guaranteed in the battle with Chariot and Justice in P3P, Yukari is the more helpful healer in this battle for both her ailment-curing moves and general healing.
The final slot in the team should be filled with whoever can endure the most damage, which will depend on how you've leveled everyone leading up to this battle. Check your party-members' stats before selecting your final member, as the fight ahead is long and precise.
Choose someone who knows a multi-target attack for their primary element, as you'll need to kill both shadows at once to finish the fight.
Chariot and Justice don't have strengths against elements or either of the physical damage types, so any multi-target move will work to finish the battle, as long as it kills both of the s🧸hadows on the same turn.
Recommended Level And Personas
Both Chariot and Justice are Lv. 31 shadows, which doesn't change when they combine into one. As such, you and the SEES teammates you bring should be hovering at least around Lv. 30 yourselves.
The two Full Moon shadows focus mostly on physical attacks, so you'll want a Persona that's strong against physical attacks.
Unfortunately, at this stage in the game, you may not have someone who covers all three.
If you're prioritizing one type of physical damage, you have the highest chance of being hit with a pierce attack during this fight, so focus your attention there.
Additionally, both shadows are capable of poisoning your party with Poison Mist, while Chariot can inflict both fear and panic on top of it.
Because of this, skills and items to negate status ailments are critical to this fight, as you'll almost certainly end up dealing with at least one.

Chariot And Justice Battle Strategy
After being formally introduced to Strega outside the bunker where the Full Moon shadows are hiding and assembling your party for the battle, you'll first need to locate the shadows.
The hallways in the bunker are linear, but lined with other shadows that will impede your progress.
When the battle with the Full Moon shadow begins, the two shadows will be fused into one, appearing as one large tank.
Proceed as normal꧃ through the first few turns of the battle, after which the two shadows will separate.
When this happens, whatever HP the single-entity form had remaining will be divided evenly between Chariot and Justice, who will then battle you together.
Their separated form is when status ailments begin coming more he💃avily into play as the pair begin sporadically deploying their ailment-inflicting 🧔moves against your team.
Yukari's healing and ailment-curing capabilities will help greatly in this battle.
Patra can cure one ally of panic and fear, while Dia and Media will heal the party. If you've gotten her to Lv. 28 before the fight, she'll also know Recarm, which revives an ally with half-HP.
Aigis joins SEES at Lv. 29, which means she'll already have learned Sukukaja to boost a party member's hit and evasion. Offensively, she can deal strike damage to both shadows at once with Swift Strike.
If you level her to Lv. 32 before the battle, Aigis will also learn Rakukaja to increase a party member's defense.
However, if you don't want to level Aigis beforehand, Junpei will already know Rakukaja well before this battle, so consider this strategy when choosing your f🌠inal party member.
A particular quirk in this fight that you've not yet faced is two shadows that both know Samerecarm and can therefor bring one another back from the dead, undoing your progress by restoring a fallen ally to full HP.
If you defeat only one shadow on your turn, the second one immediately uses Samerecarm unless it's also defeated before it can.
The only way to avoid one bringing the other back is to finish off both shadows on the same turn.
However, to do this, Chariot and Justice must be separated when you deal this simultaneous final blow. If you try to end the fight when they're combined, the two will separate back into two individual shadows, each of which will have 1HP remaining.
