Play The Campaign
Playing the Sandbox mode of Park Beyond can be enticing, especially if you are itching to play and build a massive amusement park. If you are new to management games, or just want a quick tutorial, we suggest playing through the Campaign.
This will take you through the basics of roller coaster building, as well as how to start the infrastructure of your park. The Campaign is split into different sections with new maps. For example, the first section consists of building a single roller coaster, while the next portion focuses on making a park in a spooky wooded area.
Each section of the campaign has a different ultimate goal, teaching you different mechanics of the game.
The HUD, Explained
The HUD is quite busy, especially if you have never played a management game. Above, you can see each portion of the HUD labeled, but we will also go over a brief d𝄹escription of each below.
Stick To A Theme
There are several themes you can choose from in Park Beyond, as well as a default theme. Rather than using all the themes, we suggest sticking to one.
If you want to have themed sections of your park, you can use more than one but overall, it may get a little visually cluttered if you use multiple themes at the same time.
Find A Target Demographic
Visitors in your park will have their own preferences when it comes to rides and amenities. For example, in the Gyrospin ride pictured above, the ride isn't really liked by adults, but teens seem to love it. If you are playing on Campaign mode, you will choᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚose who you are trying to appeal to.
When it comes to placing facilities in your park, you will need to keep this choice in mind. Overall though, you can choose to focus on a specific demographic, or focus on bringing to joy to everyone, regardless of age.
Play With Elevation
In addition to playing on flat land, you can build on an elevation. Rather than having your paths and rides stick to the ground, try raising them up. In the image above, you can see a path leading upward to a ride on a plateau. This will൲ provide some variation to your park.
If you don't have any raised areas in the park, you can still elevate buildings and pathways. For example, you can raise a roller coaster platform up high, so the ride starts with an immediate drop. Be sure to give yourself enough room to make a pathway so guests can reach the platform.
Hire Workers
Workers are essential to your park. You can hire a variety of staff to walk around your park, making the experience for guests a little better.
It's important to hire enough workers so your park runs smoothly. For example, if your park isn't clean and there is litter everywhere, we suggest hiring a few janitors. Be sure to build♐ a staff lounge so they can rest as well.
Place Enough Amenities
In addition to having fun attractions, you will need to take care of your guests. As a rule of thumb, always place a bathroom, trashcans, and benches. These three basic amenities can greatly increase the happiness of your guests.
With these basic amenities placed, you can also add food and drink stands around the park. If guests have to walk far to find an amenity that they need, consider building another.
Pay Attention To Product Demand & Trends
You can set the prices of pretty much everything in your park, including toilets. Clicking on a shop, you will see several tabs below the name. The third tab (shaped like a shopping basket) shows all items being sold, as well as their prices.
From here, you can adjust the price and remove items. Additionally, you will see little notes about each item. For example, items with a little green ribbon are a crowd favorite.
To gauge the thoughts of your guest, be sure to head over to the second tab, shaped like two people. Here, you can monitor the thoughts of your guests, and adjust your selection accordingly.
Circling The Park With A Roller Coaster
Roller coasts don't have to be in a closed location; you can make a coaster wander throughout the entire park, passing over other buildings. With a roller cꦿoast♏er like this, you can really up the visual appeal of your park.
When you build a roller coaster, try to think outside of the box. Utilize roller coaster components such as cannons to send your passengers across the park. Overall, there is no limit to how grand your coaster is. Just be sure to give it a test drive!
Pay Attention To Hooks
Hooks are essentially taglines of a roller coaster, which appeal to guests. When you build a roller coaster, you will get to choose two hooks; upon Impossifiying the coaster, you can add a third hook.
Each hook has its own guest preferences. For example, teens and adults like the Thrill Ride hook, but they don't love it. Hooks only work if your roller coaster fits into the theme, so we suggest taking a quick scroll through the hooks before buildings. If you see a hook that looks interesting, you can mold ඣyour coaster to fit the hook.
Customize Your Coasters
Roller Coasters will have a default color scheme, but this can be edited. You will also be able to change the shape of the car with several fun options to choose from.🍷 If you have multiplဣe coasters in your park, try customizing a few!
You can completely customize the colors of your coaster to fit the vibe that you are going for.
Impossificate!
Lastly, don't forget to Impossificate your park! You can Impossify shops, rides, and staff to become even better. For example, Impossifiying a flat ride will update its appearance to be more 'impossible', while also boosting the stats.
If you Impossify shops, a new building will be created that you can place nearby. Thi🧸s building extension provides buffs to guests, making them quite imporant.
