Everything to know when making another pit stop.

This time, the focus is on Marsh Eggs, a curious item found in the Mid-Zone. They are a very useful resource as soon as you get access to them, as they are used in crafting hanꦦdy tools and more. So, now that you're on the path to getting some Marsh Eggs, where do you actually find them?

How To Find Marsh Eggs

View Of The Route Map With The Mid-Zone Outlined

The Mid-Zone can be found surrounding the top-left corner of the map. That is where you'll need to look in order to find Marsh Eggs.

If you aren't sure how to access the Mid-Zone, check out our guide.

You'll find Marsh Eggs strewn across the marshy areas of the Mid-Zone. Not every location in the Mid-Zone will spawn Marsh Eggs, however. Be aware of this when planning your route. To check whether a destination has them or not, follow these steps:

  1. Discover and scan Marsh Eggs for the first time
  2. Once back at the Auto Shop, scan a destination on the Route Planner
  3. On the bottom right, check for Salamander Grotto
A Close-Up Of The Route Planner

If Salamander Grotto is listed as a resource found within that destination, then you'll know that Marsh Eggs will spawn there. The amount will𝓀 vary, but it is promised that you'll find some.

Salamander Grotto is the name given to the site in which Marsh Eggs spawn, assumedly because Marsh Eggs resemble the eggs of salamanders. It is easy to spot Salamander Grottos from a distance, especially at night.

How To Look For Marsh Eggs

Once at Salamander Grotto, identify Marsh Eggs by looking for large red orbs. These are the telltale sign that Marsh Eggs can be found there. Head towards them, and check nearby. Very close to the red orbs, you'll find decaying cars. On them, will spawn Marsh Eggs. They grow in clumps on the surface of cars.

Sadly, not every car in the vicinity will have them, but at least one will, which is enough. You'll get plenty of Marsh Eggs from just one car.

Use the Hand-Vac to harvest them more easily.
