By pressing "T" when hovering your mouse over the container's items, it will transfer all crafting materials from it into your inventory. You'll no longer need to manually drag items over to your character.

If you don't want to transfer every item from a container, a faster way than dragging the item over is to press "Spacebar" when hovering over the thing you want.

Another useful key bind is "Y". When on an inventory screen, "Y" will automatically sort the items from the container your mouse is hovering over💦. This is very useful for your Auto Shop o✨rganization.

Always Bring Food

There are two types of food in Pacific Drive; Cans of Food and MREs. They heal for 8 HP and 12 HP, respectively. That doesn't sound very useful, but it comes in handy more times than you'd expect. Early on, a lot of the damage you take will be small hits; a l🐠ittle radiation poisoning, some fall damage, and smacking the trunk door 🐬on your head.

By carrying food with you, you can heal those little cuts and bruises instead of going overboard and wasting a first aid kit. It's very easy and important to keep your health near 100 HP at all times. You never know what you'll find in the zones, s🅺o having a quic⛦k snack to heal you is a great way to keep you topped up.

Cans of food 🧸take up less inventory space, and you can carry more at once, compared to MREs.

Check The Settings For Convenience Options

In the settings, there are some tweaks you can make that change aspects of the game to be a little less inconvenient. It's up to you whether you want to change these settings from their default. So, it's best to play the game a little and tweak the settings to your preference.

Collect Pearls From A Dumpster

Dumpster pearls, that's right, dumpster pearls, are a rare item you'll find while out exploring. They are essentially a large, black pearl that, once broken down, will spit out a large amount of loot. You'll need the Matter Deconstructor to g💞et the loot, unless you want to craft 50 scrappers and brute force it.

They spit out everything from crafting materials to paint and decals to customization parts. For an item that only takes up a minimum of four inventory slots, they contain a lot of useful stuff. So, if you find one, take it.

The Matter Deconstructor Matters

As well as breaking down dumpster pearls, the Matter Deconstructor is very handy to have for other reasons... It breaks down many other things. It is the second upgrade you can unlock for the 🌸Auto Shop at the Fabrication Statio💙n.

It will require:

• 0.8 kLIM of Stable Energy
• 35 Scrap Metal
• Four Gears
• Four Electronics

It's a small price for a very useful machine. The Matter Deconstructor will break down items, such as car parts and tools.

If you've crafted the wrong item or need to replace a part of your car, you'll no longer be wasting the parts you used to craft it. You can put it into the Matter Deconstructor, and it will spit out some of the crafting materials used to make it. It's not a 1:1 ratio, however, so don't exp🐎ect to get everything back.

It doesn't seem to work on items rec༒eived from the Friendly Dumpster.

Log Everything

One of the first things you'll learn, once you acquire the headset, is how to scan and log. You can scan anomalies, resources, conditions, status effects, and more, which will appear in your Logbook. The Logbook is extremely handy throughout the entire game. It continuously keeps a record of everything you've learned and found, like an enc🎐yclopedia.

Is something wrong with my tire? Oh, it's loose. How do I fix that? Look in the Logbook. It'll tell you how you fix status effects, what tools to use on different resources, and where you found everything you've come across. Don't sleep on the Logbook. Plus, it has some pretty interesting lor🐎🃏e entries there.

How To Fix Your Car If It Gets Stuck

It's happened to all of us. We roll down a hill, get stuck on some debris, or an anomaly forces us off the road. Our car is stuck, in one way or another. Thankfully, there's an easy fix to this problem. Usually, when your car is stuck, the game can tell. It will prompt you to press "T" to teleport the car near your position in a state where it's not stuck. Sometimes, it can be a little wonky and teleport your car in the air,ꦉ and then it falls to the ground. But... At least it's still not stuck.

If the prompt doesn't appear when your car is stuck, you can still press "T", and it will have the same effect.

It's also important to note that the process isn't instant. It seems to vary in how long it takes, as the game tries to find a good place to put your car. So, if you're running from something or in a hurry, be aware that getting unstuck isn't instant.

Use The Car Maintenance Screen

In your car, there's a screen next to the dashboard. It provides you with all the information you'll need at a glance about your car; it'll tell you if a part is damaged, if a part is affected by a status effect, and if a door was left open. It's a handy screen that can be a lifesaver in certain situations. So, check it often.

Don't Be Afraid To Go Off-Road

The game will tell you this early on, and you might not believe it, but believe it. Going off-road can help you immensely, depending on the situation. Aside from the fact that you'll need to go off-road to arrive at a lot of loot locations, it can be safer and faster to stay away from main roads. A 🍎lot of anomalies hang out on the main roads, and the paths a🐷re generally winding and not direct.

Make your direct path through the forest, avoiding some of the potential dangers, and even finding some loot not marked on the map. Now, this doesn't mean you should go off-road all the time. Use your best judgment based on thꦦe map and what your situation is. Sometimes, the main road is the best option. It can be quicker and there are fewer objects to accidentally drive into.

Collecting Anchors

Anchors are a very important resource in Pacific Drive. They provide you with Stable Energy, Unstable Energy, or Corrupted Energy that's used to craft at the Fabrication Station. That is how you will upgrade the Auto Shop and obtain better blueprints. So, here's what you need to kno🌄w about collec🌜ting anchors.

They're marked with a large yellow circle on your map and are semi-circle shaped, emitting beams of energy and light. These effects are small amounts of radiation that will slowly damage you, so get the anchor to your car quickly.

Picking up an anchor will cause the immediate area around you to become unstable. Meaning, that anomalies that are found on the map will appea✅r near you. It can be pretty frightening when a Touri💛st appears behind you like a Weeping Angel after picking up an anchor.
