It has a plethora of sꦜtations and tools that you can use for various purposes. Some of them ꧂are unlocked at the very start of the game, while others need to be fabricated later on.

Knowing what purpose each station🌼 has will help you get out on the road faster. Getting out on the road faster means more trips and more loot for you to take🌺 back to the Auto Shop. It isn't just a place where you'll repair your car and head out; it's where you'll upgrade, craft, customize, and experiment. So, here's a look at the essential parts of the Auto Shop.

Charging & Tinkering

Let's start with the main ability that the Auto Shop provides: getting you ready for another road trip into the zones. You can't go back out there without taking a breather—for you and your car—and fixing what needs fixing. The Charging Station and Tinker Station are a few machi꧙nes that will help you with that goal.

In the screenshot above, you'll see the Charging Station (left) and the Tinker Station (right). The charging station will recharge your battery to full without any consequences. Use it as often as you like. Just make sure to use it every time you come back to the Auto Shop.

Fueling & Customization

The Gas Pump is another aspect of the Auto Shop that will help you further explore the zones. Pictured above is the Gas Pump (left). Every time you get back to the Auto Shop, remember to refuel your car. Always! Being left out in t𒉰he zone without gas will put you in a very precarious situation, which might end in you having to abandon the trip.

To the right of the Gas Pump is the Paint Shelf. The Paint Shelf is where you'll store all your paints and decals. You find them in the zones and bring them back here. The shelf space isn't unlimited, so keep an ey🐼e on it. You probably don't want 20 spray cans of black pai🉐nt.

Next to the Paint Shelf is the Detailing Station. This is where you'll store and install all the customizable parts of your car that do not affect gameplay or survival. It is where you'll keep different steering wheels, antennas, shifters, bobbleheads, and more. Self-Healing

You're going to take a beating every now and then while out in the zones. Luckily, the Auto Shop comes equipped with a limitless First Aid Station. It will heal you to full every time you use it, and you can use it as much as you want to. It would be smarter to use this station to heal instead of other healing items while back at the Auto Shop.

Your Car & Planning Routes

Next to the garage door is the Status Monitor. It's a very handy screen that shows you everything that's wrong with your car, and a lot will go wrong throughout the game. It will tell you if your car has quirks, is damaged, or is﷽ missing parts and if your fuel and battery need to be filled.

Next to the Status Monitor is the Route Planner. Here, you'll scan locations that you can visit on your next journey. Despite the device's name, whatever location you choose isn't where you have to go. The station simply allows you to scan a location to determine what anomalies are affecting it. The more you upgrade the antenna at the Auto Shop, the more locations you can scan at a time.

Funky Music

In the corner of the Auto Shop is a radio. You can play music of varying genres while you work on your car or do whatever you𝓰're doing while hiding from the anomalies. You can change the volume, choose between different stations, or just leave it off. It's your choice. But if you want to feel like a true mechanic, put on some tunes while you work.

The Matter Regenerator & Deconstructor

If you want to, you can destroy any item you come across with the Matter Deconstructor. It will give you back a percentage of the parts used to craft an item. Keep in mind, it's not a 1:1 ratio on the return. But it's still a very useful machine.

It doesn't seem to work with items given to you by the Friendly Dumpster.

On the opposite end, you also have the power to restore life to an item, instead of destroying it like a monster. Well... not every item. The Matter Regenerator only works on car parts, sadly. You can't restore tools or other items. So, you will probably destroy more things than you restore, but🥀 that's video games!

The Workbench

The Workbench is arguably the most important piece of the Auto Shop, aside from repairing your car so it can actually drive more than 20 feet. This is where you'll craft almost everything; from tools to car parts. Once you've crafted a blueprint, you'll be able to craft it in the Workbench. There's an upgrade you can make to it called the Workbench V2.ꦿ It's mostly just a prerequisite to crafting higher-tier blueprints.

What's A Fax Machine?

Some of you might not know what a fax machine is, but it's essentially a magic printer that sends messages long distances. That's the gist of it, anyway. In Pacific Drive, the Fax Machine will allow you to store the various notes and recordings you've found throughout the zones. Also, every time you load into the Auto Shop, the Fax Machine will have a message sent to you by someone... or something.

Where's The Storage?

You store your items in Pacific Drive in Storage Lockers. You can increase your storage throughout the Auto Shop by building more of them than the initial one you start with. You can craft many more Storage Lockers throughout the game, allowing you to store heaps of materials and car parts. Why does one need🍎 to store 15 tires? Who knows?

The Upgrade Room

There's one room that houses numerous machines that are integral to the game. One of those machines is the Fabrication Station. It allows you to craft different blueprints, which are essentially upgrades. Upgrades for your car, the Auto Shop, your tools, and more. One of the things you'll be able to craft at the Fabrication Station is the Outfitting Station. This is where you'll upgrade your character—more accurately, upgrade the clothes they wear. You won't be able to get mor𝔉e physically fit, but you can craft a hazmat suit or a bigger backpack. Don't forget to check in on this machine. Upgrading your character so they can survive longer in harsh e💯nvironments is very helpful.

Do you have a bunch of junk lying around in the Auto Shop? Thankfully, you have a high-tech vacuum available. The Auto-Vac will suck up every last piece of free-floating materials in ✱the Auto Shop, allowing you to p🎉ick them up all at once.

It will 𒉰also✨ suck up the Transfer Trunk and basketball.

The Pneumatic Tube

One of the strange and mysterious machines you'll find in the Auto Shop is this device: Oppy's Pneumatic Tube. The game will tell you nothing about it. It is essentially only for the sending of quest-related items. So, don't worry about it until the gam🤪e tells you to.

The Locked Door
