If there is one thing that every SoulsBorne game needs, it is amazing bosses. The second most important thing is probably secrets. Combine these two elements together and you have the♊ secret boss. These optional bosses provide a great sense of discovery and mystery to these games.

There are Souls bosses that are hidden away in optional areas, others requir🌳e completing elaborate qꦡuests to find, and some are dependent on finding specific items. Either way, these bosses can be extremely easy to miss. This is a shame, as they are almost all a ton of fun to fight.

Updated June 07, 2022 by James Kennedy: One glance at this list will immediately inform you of what we are missing here: Elden Ring. Yes, this list predates the arrival of FromSoftware's new magnum opus. This means that it is painfully in need of an update. Well, we are here to oblige. We are updating the guide with two of Elden Rings most notable, and notoriously easy to miss, bosses. Now the tarnished finally have the representation they deserve!

12 Mohg Lord of Blood, Elden Ring 💫

Mohg, Lord of Blood confronts the Tarnished after making a pact with the Formless Mother in Elden Ring.

Do you know what makes for a super straightforward boss encounter? Having to enter into a cordoned-off area by way of a lift wedged in the corner of the map. Oh, wait, we're getting ahead of ourselves. By way of a lift that requires an amulet (something more you will need to scour the world to find). That amulet, by the way, is split in two💯: with both halves being located far, far away from each otไher.

Meaning that, yes, you are going to need to traipse across the world to find everything you need. And that is just to enter the area that will allow you to enter the dungeon! No, that isn't a typo. Don't worry, once you enter into the Consecrated Snowfield, finding the teleporter that leads to Mohg is easy... is what we would say if you could see anything in the whiteout conditions. It's a whole thing.

Mohg himself 🍰makes for a pretty great boss encounter. The lumbering swipes of his trident aren't a big deal, but once he starts raining blood down on you, and combusting the air in front of him, things start to get real. And that isn't mentioning the second phase of the fight, which is especially brutal if you didn't obtain the Purifying Crystal Tear before this battle (one more thing to track down). Mohg, is a great fight; it is just too bad so many players will miss it.

11 🌜 Malenia, Elden Ri🃏ng

Malenia from Elden Ring

Malenia, like Mohg, requires that you work your way to the Consecrated Snowfield. However, once you get to the Snowfield, your work is far from finished. You see, now you need to navigate through the blinding blizzard and encounter a world puzzle. Prepare to contend with an invisible, murderous phantom as you locate the four candles you need to light, spread throughout a phantom version of the🦩 town✤. Once you do so, you will enter the Haligtree.

This is a platforming section where you work your way across the giant roots of the tree itself and through the village built on top of them. And boy is this area brutal. We are talking scarlet rot, enemies that fire projectiles that can one-shot you, and harpies deviously hidden around every other corner. It is also massive and labyrinthine. So don't expect to easily find your way without a guide of some sort. And, by the way, this is all to get to Malenia's dungeon itself. All of this is completely optional! All of it!

Malenia herself, despite being so incredibly well-concealed, is actually one of the most iconic bosses in the game. Her statue is even part of the special edition for the game. And by the way, this battle is brutal. Almost certainly the most di🍌ffi🔜cult battle in the game. Not only is she fast, but she has a whole range of extraordinarily powerful attacks. Oh, and by the way, she heals herself when she hits you. And she will hi💫t you. Often. Now is the time for you to cackle like the typical SoulsBorne NPC who is losing their grasp on their sanity.

10 Red Dragon, Demon's Souls

Red-Dragon-Demons-Souls

There is a reason most people likely missed killing this dragon in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Demon's Souls: they probably didn't think it was actually killable. Sure, everyone is going to fire an arrow or two into this winged demon as it swoops down, but what kind of person is going to sit there and fire hundreds into them? Well, those who know what it takes to kill a dragon, clearly.

This isn't actually a particularly interesting "fight". You will spend your time sitting on top of the guard tower firing arrows at the dragon as it flies by. While the series is known for its fantastic optional boss fights, this isn't really a great example of that. However, the Red Dragon deserves a mention just for being one of the first.

9 Darkbeast Paarl, Bloodbo🎀rne ꦿ

bloodborne-darkbeast-paarl-boss-fight

There are a number of unique ways you encounter bosses in the Souls series. One that is unique to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Bloodborne requires you to lose to a specific enemy. At which point, you will⛄ wake up in the Hypogean Gaol, which is a completely missable area.

The boss at the end of the Hypogean Gaol is the lightning emanating Paarl. This giant monstrosity is strikingly fast and has some extremely potent lightning attacks. If you are taken to the Hypogean Gaol early on, Darkbeast 🥀Paarl might be the hardest boss you fight.

8 Belfry Gargoyles, Dark Souls 2 ඣ

Dark-Souls-2-Belfry-Gargoyles

In order to fight the Belfry Gargoyles, you will have to enter Belfry Luna, which is a completely optional area tucked away. It isn't a stretch to imagine that many people walked past the ladder that leads to this area, or they missed the keyhole in the room at the bottom of said ladder. Either way, this is very much an easy-to-miss area.

Your reward for finding this secret area is a retread of the gargoyle fight from the first 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dark Souls game. Though, to be fair, they seem a lot more aggressive in Dark S♈ouls 2 - and they have brought aౠ lot of friends.

7 Dark Sun Gwyndolin, Dark Souls ဣ

Dark-Souls-Optional-Bosses-Areas-Gwyndolin

In order to fight 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Gwyndolin, you will first need to attack Gwynevere who is just minding her own business. After she turns to dust - because apparently, she was an illusion - you will have to fight a few of Gwyndolin's followers. Then, you will be able to take on this god.

This isn't actually a particularly difficult boss fight. It amounts to chasing Gwyndolin down an unending hallway while avoiding their projectile attacks. Thankfully, there are tons of columns to the side to provide you with cover. It is a unique fight, so it would be a shame to miss it.

6 🌱 The Moon Presence, Bloo🎃dborne

Bloodborne-Moon-Presence-descending-from-bloodmoon

There is a lot you need to do if you are going to fight the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:true boss of Bloodborne. It isn't as easy as just beating the game. You will need to traverse some well-hidden areas, collect the umbilical cords, and consume them. Without foreknowledge, few people would probably end up meeting this boss at the end of the game. Surely to this day, there are individuals who think Gehrman is the only final boss of Bloodborne.

The moon presence is a fun, and thoroughly intimidating, boss to fight. It can cover a lot of distance in a small amount of time, and it also has an attack that will hit everything within a large radius. Circling it and stabbing it in the back can be effective, but it is mo🅷re than capable of scurrying away and then pouncing on you from afar.

5 Black Dragon Kalameet, Dark Souls 🍎 🥂

Dark Souls Kalameet Boss Fight With Fire

Kalameet is doubly missable. For starters, he is DLC - then there is the whole rigmarole you are going to need to go through in order to fight him. You need to talk to Hawkeye Gough, and then go into the dragon's boss fight and die. Return to talk to Gough until he eventually offers to shoot down Kalameet. If you aren't the talkative type, you almost certainly completely missed this fight.

While the Black Dragon has a number of tricks, including the classic dragon's breath, his most difficult to deal with is probably his tail spin. It comes out shockingly fast and hits hard. If he starts flying, get running; fire is about to rain down directly below him. Kalameet is one of the more enjoyable 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:dragon bosses to fight in the series. It is a shame some people a🍬lmost certainly missed it.

4 Martyr Lo🍃garius, Bloodborne

Bloodborne-Martyr-Logarius-holding-scythe

If you aren't religiously checking your items, it is extremely likely that you missed the whole Cainhurst Castle section of the game. This would be a shame, by the way, as it is among the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:best areas in Bloodborne.

Martyr Logarius isn't a joke. This frozen figure has giant attacks that are extraordinarily difficult to avoid. He also hits hard, even by Bloodborne standards. It is absolutely possible that he may put you down in two big attacks if you aren't careful. Logarius is easily 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:among the hardest bosses in the game, but most people probably 𒁃never had a chance to find that out.

3 Champion Gundyr, Dark Souls 3 ཧ

Dark-Souls-3-Champion-Gundyr-Fight

Well, hopefully, you spend time knocking on walls with your weapons, because if you don't then you are unlikely to ever encounter the Untended Graves section of this game. This would be a huge shame, as it is a very cool area. It also has its own boss: Champion Gundyr.

This is a variation of Iꦅudex Gundyr. However, he is much faster, far less predictable, and in꧒stead of turning into a horrifying monster when low on health, he just gets super amped up and goes on a rampage. Honestly, this fight is an absolute pleasure. It feels like a duel between two warriors. It’s unfortunate so many people probably missed it. Get knocking on those walls, people.
