This might be a game changer...
But wh🎶ile many store shelves have been left empty due to a lack of stock, one Target store has seemingly dug into the deepest, darkest sections of its stockroom to find units of a 13-year-old, discontinued console to sell in its space.
One Target Is Selling Wii Us As A Replacement For Its Lack Of Nintendo Switch 2 Consoles
The Wii U was 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Nintendo's most disastrous console ever. It launched in late 2012, sold just 13.5 million units, and was then 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:unceremoniously discontinued in January 2017. Ine൩vitably, there is bound to be some stock of the console d𒐪ecaying in storerooms around the globe, and that seems to be the case at this Target.
On Reddit, user Financial-Cookie-927 of two boxed Wii Us sat on a store shelf in the place where you would assume Nintendo Switch 2s would be, were they in stock. The consoles are priced at $99.99 and are placed next to a lonely 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Legend🍌 of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom🌠 Tulin Amiibo, which launched alongside Niꦆntendo's latest console.
Naturally, the post on Reddit has been flooded with comments, many of which were amazed to see Wii Us in the wild 13 years after it launched, and just as many sta♈ting they'd have scooped it up at the price it was listed for. "$99.99 is a steal considering these 𓃲units sealed sell for far more. Some employee found some old stock in the back and is trying to get rid of it, I guess," Windows-XP-Home-New in the thread.

It's an astonishing find in this day and age, but having worked in a similar retail store in the UK, I'm not sure how kindly Nintendo would take to seeing old consoles in the space where Switch 2s should be. I'm sure they'd rather the space be empty. Lets just hope some excited child dꩲoesn't end up with a Wii U instead of a Switch 2.
