Speed Things Up Once You've Seen It All

When you first begin playing One Piece Odyssey, the animations for your teammates' menu of attacks are pretty entertaining, watching them find all sorts of cool ways to kick some ass (168澳洲幸运5开奖网:especially in costume). However, with each attack coming with a visual, and there only being so many attacks in the game and the game being 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:between 30 and 60 hours long depending on your playstyle, you may want to h💎asten things sooner than later.

The attacks you deal out are swift, however, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the abilities you'll want to use always come with an animation of varying length. There are so many battles to fight through that eventually watching all of those cool but time-consuming animations will drag. If you want to get in and out of the fights quickly, keep the battle speed-up option selected to keep the team auto-battling.

Thankfully this is just a qui🅷ck button tap, so you can enjoy any newly unlocked abilities in all their glory or really soak up the dramatic story moments, before switching back to the faster option.

Exploit The Power Triangle

Always pay attention to the power triangle when considering 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:which teammates to use and when. This is a kind of Rock, Paper, Scissors mechanic, but for One Piece Odyssey, it's called Power, Technique, and Speed instead.

• Power beats Speed.
• Speed beats Technique.
• Technique beats Power.

Thankfully, you don't have to memorize what kind of attacks your teammates or enemies use - you'll see one of the attack type's options beside your characters' names, as well as on the health bars showing how much HP your enemies still have. Enemies in your zone are damaged more immediately by close-range attacks, while enemies in other zones take more damage from ranged attacks. Be mindful of which kind of attack you're choosing to deal the most damage. Choosing a close-range ability on a distanced enemy moves your character to that zone, so be careful if you're not trying to move!

Weaknesses And Resistances

Throughout the game, you’ll encounter a wide variety of enemies with a ton of affinities, so you’ll want to keep an eye out for any attack to which an enemy is weak, indicated by the word “weak” in pink text during your action decision.

If an enemy is weak to the attack, they’ll take extra damage from moves like this – which you’ll find, for example, with 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Robin’s Dos Fleurs attack that only works on male opponents.

Switching teammates does not consume that teammate's action, so make liberal use of this tactic ꦐto quickly swap to someone more effective!

Keep An Eye On Your TP

In order to perform your cool special abilities for each character, they'll need to save up some TP, the resource needed to execute their most powerful moves - exponentially more impactful than your standard physical attacks! However, special skill attacks use TP, and if you don't have enough, you simply can't use that attack just yet. Nothing worse than having that happen just before the end of🤡 a fight!

You can replenish your TP in a few ways, like:

• Using standard attacks during that character's turn in battle.
• Using items to immediately increase their TP.
• Eating a meal to earn both HP and TP.

We've found that standard attacks are our best bet for boosting out TP - you're still damaging the opponent, and you're boosting your TP.

Use Item Buffs

Where all those items and meals in your inventory really come in handy are the buffs earned for consuming them in battle! The meals that Sanji can prepare are 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:great🔜 for managing m⛎any options at once. For example, the 'Bronze Bat Soup' heals all allies by 1000HP in and out of battle. However, if you use it during a fight, it will also increase all allies' DEF and GUTS stats by 10% for 3 turns.

As you 💮play you'll unlock more recipes with powerful buffs like health regeneration and protection against certain elements.

It's not just food that can aid you during fights. Usopp can craft ammo balls 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:to be thrown at enemies, hitting them with a debuff when used in battle. These are crafted in campsites and can have an impact on the enemy's DEF, send theꦜm to sleep or even paralyze them.

Monitor Your Accessories

Another great feature of the battles is random challenges that ask you to meet a requirement for a bumper crop of XP or a batch of cooking and crafting ingredients. Some of these tasks can be simple - beat this enemy within one turn, or kill this enemy with a specific character. Others scale up the danger by bestowing huge buffs to the enemy, anꦚd you need to beat them before they knock you out.

Achieving these requests can really help with leveling up your crew, especially later in the game 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:when level requirements are 🐎much higheౠr. It seems the XP bonus amount is random, but it nearly always gives tens of thousands of XP points. This can see your battle rewards go from 6,000XP to over 30,000XP, which pushes yo🍸ur crew through the levels swiftly.
