As you progress to the more difficult areas of the map, you'll find that plenty of items you need wilꦓl require more materials that are difficult to obtain. One of these materials is acid, which is an essential part of several late game items such as Tungsten Ore, Aluminum🔥 Ore, and more.
How To Get Acid From Enemies
The primary way of obtaining acid is from defeating monsters. There are plenty of areas in the region that are filled with all sorts of monstrous creatures called Deviants, and killing them is a great way to farm acid.
As there are numerous areas crawling with these enemies, you can spend time clearing each. After clearing the area, the Deviants will return after sometime and yo෴u will be ab𒀰le to defeat them to farm more acid.
This is the fastest way to get the acid that you need. That being said, there are ways to get multiple waves of enemies to defeat without having to eꦡxplore neighborhoods and buildings:
- Performing Purifications for at home will have plenty of enemies coming to swarm your territory. They can be easily wiped out by setting up turrets and other defenses. You'll find a lot of dropped acid on the ground afterward.
- Do Workshop Defense events. This will require you to use Extraction Permits or Refinery Permits to summon waves of enemies that you can defeat. Extraction Permits reward you with 40 acid, while Refinery Permits will give you 80 acid.
You can find the locations of the different Workshop Defense events on your map. There are seven locations: Blackfell Oil Fields, Rippleby Market Workshop, Eastern Railway Junction, Refinery Pollution Point, Brewery Workshop, Sunshine Farm, and Furnace Lair.

Preserved Deviated Chops will decay over time. If not stored in a refrigerator, it will turn into spoiled food after 24 hours. Only make enough for your runs for the day, then keep the ingredi𓃲ents in storage for next time.
How To Make A Passive Acid Farm
Another way to get acid is by making a passive acid farm. This can be done by ⛄unlocking certain Memetics that will allow you to build the structures you need on your t𓄧erritory.
The passive acid farm will require you to have access to Polluted Water. This means that you will need to set up base in an area with Stardust pollution.

You will need your Water Pump to be setup to extract Polluted Water somewhere in your territory. Then, link it to an Osmosis Water Purifier to have it turn Polluted Water into Impure Acid.
Take the created Impure Acid, then place it into a Brewing Barrel for it to be converted to regular acid.
Use your Water Bucket to gather your Impure Acid and the other products of you☂r Osmosis Water Purifier. This will ensure that you prevent clogging in your production process.
Use the connecting Water Pumps to manage the flow o♑f the water from each machine to the♏ other.
With such a tedious setup, the passive acid farm is only good for extra acid because production using this method is a very slow process.
How To Craft Acid
The next way you can make acid is faster than the Water Pump method, but slower than hunting Deviants. You can also craft acid if you have the Memetic Specialization for it.
Memetic Specializations are special abilities that you can gain for every five levels that you get. The choices given to you at each level are completely unique to you, so therℱe's a chanc🌜e you won't get the specialization you're targeting.
The specialization you need is Sulfur Chemist. This will give you the ability to craft acid using a Synthesis Bench with and Energy Links.
The Synthesis Bench can be unlocked under the Crafting branch of your Memetics menu.
A better option is the further down the same branch, because this will allow you to process two different stacks of items at the same time.
It costs five Sulfur and 50 Energy Links to craft one acid, and production takes five minutes. If you're making a stack of 99 acid, you'll need 495 Sulfur and 4950 Energy Links. This will take eight hours and 15 minutes to complete.
Energy Links can be obtained by clearing dungeons, submitting commissions, and completing exploration tasks.
You can also get Energy Links by selling to Safe Zone vendors. Selling and is an especially lu⛦crative wayℱ to get a lot of Energy Links from vendors.

The unique Memetic Specialization options per player will encourage you to cooperate with other meta-humans. Look for a Hive member or a server resident who has the specialization you need.
