Howdy, friends. Welcome back to the story of all-star merchant extraordinaire Partitio in this rough-and-tumblin' video game, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Octopath Traveler 2. Partitio goes where he hears the bells of coin, and the bustling eastern-continental town of Clockbank's just ticking with it.
So head on down to Clockbank, then, and let's have ourselves some great guide coverage for Partitio's second-chapter story. We'll meet a promising young upstart, learn the meaning of the word 'newspaper', and more.
Town Phase: The Coins Of Clockbank
Welcome to Clockbank! If this is your first time, explore at your leisure. Remember that every settlement in Octopath Traveler 2 is a veritable treasure trove; hit up every NPC you meet for their wares, their cares, their blurbs, or even their combat prowess. When you're ready to begin Partitio's second chapter in earnest, either head to the tavern to 'Hear a Tale' or simply get on with it if you decided to get started on your way into town.
Your first order of business is to go to north to the Industrial Area segment of the city, where you'll meet Thurston and Will. The latter's a kid Partitio helps out of a scrape here, while the former's the more menacing of the pair. He's squeezing everyone in Clockbank on account of taxes, even kids like Will. Partitio's heroic antics earn him recognition from another boy, Ori, a local report🌸er rather smitten with the journali🌄stic scoop our Oresrush man provides.
While you're here, hit up the Thieves Guild if you've not previously done so. To find it, run down the stairs near where you met Thurston and Will. Go up the steps beside the house at the bottom here, behind the barrel, and on through a hidden tunnel to the Guild. Note that folks are only here at night. Go right a ways from where the previous story scene triggered to meet Floyd, a bumbling fellow if ever there were one. After, we get a scene with Thurston and Roque (!) before we're in control of Partitio again. Go west to enter the Roque Company Office to get firmly shut down from meeting Mr. Roque for now. Ah well, let's do as Parti suggests and "take a gander 'round the factory."
Before you leave the office, enter the door Thurston stepped through just now for a Slashing Glaive with Physical Attack 6💎8 and Evasion 18. Not bad. Why was Thurston in a room with naught but💟 a treasure chest...?
Now let's go to that factory. Go through the entrance to meet with Floyd again. Dialogue reveals Floyd's working on a more powerful steam engine. Partitio likes the cut of the lad's jib, and offers to help out. Locate Clockbank's weapons and armor shop for the next bit of story. He'll give Partitio five Clockites to take back to Floyd.
Things don't pan out as best they might, but all hope's not lost. Now we need to find a clockmaker. If you've already thoroughly interrogated the poor townsfolk, you'll already know the answer - the clockmaker can be found at the pub, specifically at night. Interact with him via Partitio's 'Hire' Path Action, and then bring him to Floyd. Cute scenes ensue.
Dungeon Phase: Roque Company Factory
After aforementioned cuteness (and lore!) concludes, return to the factory. Alas, the steam engine is gone. There'll be a quick and easy battle against some guards, after which head upstairs through the door.
This dungeon's a short one - two screens in total. Grab a cool 7,000 leaves from a visible chest here at the start of the rooftops. Make your way across these✱ rooftops following the obvious path laid out by plywood and metal shingles. Go downstairs at the end of this little maze and through the door.
We'll find Floyd arguing with Thurston. Unsurprisingly, Thurston's none too fond of the guy's bright-eyed demeanor. Boss time? Boss time.
Boss Phase: Garnet
In true Octopath tradition, the seemingly small pupper becomes a massive mastiff once the battle begins in earnest. Garnet's weak to Axes and Polearms. The latter ought to be readily available via Partitio if nobody else, so spear that dog. Garnet's elemental resistance is fairly low as a rule, so Osvald's spells work great here, as well as any Job-specific spells like Partitio's Ember and Agnea's Wind-elemental strikes.
If you've got Ochette with you, Leghold Trap is fantastic for keeping things in your favor here. Garnet's physical attacks are your primary concern, so the fewer opportunities it has to dole out the slashes and bites, the better off you'll be.
Conversely, if you have a means to lower Garnet's physical attack output temporarily via debuffs, that combined with Leghold Trap will pretty much send the poor pupper limping.
After the fight, Partitio finally reunites with Roque. His eighty-billion leaf offer's bound to be a bluff, but our trusty reporter Ori pops up with a sturdy suggestion. Partitio's tale will continue in Wellgrove!
