Look cool as hell.

That's right. Those shackles you unequipped and unloaded ꦆfor ꦕzero gold to a merchant are one of the best items in the game and can't randomly spawn into any treasure chest throughout the game. But what if you tossed them? Worry not, because there are two places where wrist irons can easily be obtained.

Why Are Wrist Irons Valuable?

Wrist irons that have been equipped in the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.

Not only are Wrist Irons indestructible, but they weigh nothing and are the only clothing item that can be worn on your hands. That might not mean much to🌊 a knight covered head to toe in plated daedric arm💛or, but it is especially helpful for mages.

Spell effectiveness, which determines how much power your spells pack, is often reduced by wearing armor, hence why many mages opt for enchanted robes and clothes. These items don't reduce spell effectiveness by wearing them. Wrist Irons are incredibly useful for unarmored characters ꦗas they give them yet another slot for enchanted items that don't hinder their spell casting.

Your current spell effectiveness percentage can be found at the bottom of the magic page, where your spell list can be found. This determines what percentage of the spell's des♈ired effect can be resolved on the target and for how long.

Location #1: Deepscorn Hollow

The first, and easiest, location to find wrist irons is located in the player's home for assassin characters, known as Deepscorn Hollow. To access this area, you'll reach the southernmost point of the Blackwoods region, just off a small island. Once you find the island, dive into the water and look for a hollowed-out tree. By swimming inside🍸💙, you'll find a passageway into the caverns of Deepscorn Hollow.

Once inside the main atrium, turn left and go through the doorway into Deepscorn Cloister. Straight ahead is the cattle cell, a small area where a few skeletons are chained to the wall. On the ground near the skeletons is a pair of wrist irons.

Due to a frequently recurring bug, the wrist irons sometimes spawn in an area unreachable to the player. By repeatedly exiting and entering Deepscorn Cloister, the wrist irons should eventually spawn in their correct location.

Location #2: Sundercliff Watch

The other location where Wrist Irons can reliably be found is within the dungeon explored during the Daedric artifact quest "Unearthing Mehrunes' Razor." Found near the border of Morrowind and just off of Lake Canulus, Sundercliff Watch is one of, if not the, longest dungeon in the entire game. Luckily𒊎, the wrist irons can be found fairly early, and a full dungeon dive isn't required.

Gear up for a heck of a fight. The Drothmeri soldiers inhabiting the area are🐭 well-equipped and numerous. They're composed mostly🃏 of dark elves, so leave behind any equipment that deals primarily fire damage.

After clearing the main entryway of Sundercliff Watch, there will be an old wooden door that requires a password. In a bag next to the door is a journal. Reading it will teach you the password: Chimer. Once the door is open,🐼 proceed through the tunnels, defeat any enemies in your way and make your way to Sundercliff Village.

The village area is enormous and can be confusing to traverse. There's no shortage of Drothmeri and slaves ready to pick a fight, so try to sneak through this area as much as possible. Once you reach the central village area with the Recruit Barracks, Canteen, and Soldier Lodgings, stick to the upper area and look for a small building simply labeled "Jail."

Inside, you'll find a small holding cell with a Morag Tong assassin and a table with a note. Also sitting on the table are two pairs of Wrist Irons waiting for you to colle﷽ct them. Whe💫ther you aim to proceed with the dungeon's intended goal of obtaining Mehrune's Razor or if you're satisfied with some iron shackles is up to you from here.

These are just two of the easiest ways to obtain Wrist Irons in Oblivion Remastered. There may be other locations that are less conspicuous within Cyrodiil's countless dunge💞ons, but these two notable and accessible locations should make it easy to find a pair of enchantable shackles. Just remember not to throw them away this time!
