The Shivering Isles DLC is a perfect example of this creativity, offering remarkable content, with iᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚts quests being one of its strongest features. Take The Great Divide, for instanc🐎e, where a mage in a town believed that everyone had both a Manic and Demented side to their personality, and he casts a spell to split these two personalities. Now, everyone has a double, and they despise each other, creating a fascinating conflict that you must help resolve.

This quest is part of the Shivering Isles DLC.

How To Start The Great Divide Quest

The Great Divide quest log - Oblivion Remastered

Make your way to the town of Spit, which is located just north of the Hill of Suicide, and speak to any citizen there.

In the dialogue option menu, you will find the 'Double' option. Choose that, and it will immediately start the Great Divide quest. You will learn that the town is literally split into two types, and every citizen there has a double.

Now, you need to go and talk to Horkvir Bear-Arm, either from the Manic side or the Demented.

They will both make the exact same proposition, which is to get rid of the other side so that the other side will b🧸e peaceful.

This is where you need tꦅo make yet another decision on which side you should p💎ick.

How To Complete The Great Divide Quest

There is really no real effect on the reward or how the quest will go or a right or wrong decision, because you just need to pick a side, otherwise, the quest will not progress.

This can be done by speaking with the appropriate Horkvir Bear-Arm and then informing them that you agree to help them.

When you do that, the opposing side will not talk to you, and you just need to get rid of them one way or another; it doesn’t matter.

Keep i🃏n mind there are a few ways that you can fail this quest, for example, when you kill someone from the side you agreed to help, so be very c𓂃areful on who you kill.

After you pick a side, you will be directed to five people in town to kill, and these are Atrabhi, Horkvir Bear-Arm, J'zidzo, Jastira Nanus, Urul gro-Agamph, but the safest way to do so is during their sleep so you will hopefully get no bounty.

Once the deed is done, head back to the Horkvir Bear-Arm of the side you chose to help and let them know about the progress. They will be glad that now they are living in peace and will reward you with some gold for it.
