After you complete both Separated at Birth and Legacy Lost quests, wait a few days and then head to Chorrol.

Just south of it, you will find The Oak and Crosier inn, and inside there will be a dark elf called Fathis Ules.

During the conversation with him, he will explain that a specific item was taken by the ogres, and he will direct you to the Redguard Valley Cave, which is just south of the town.

This will trig💛ger the Sins of the Father quest to begin.

How To Complete The Sins Of The Father Quest

Make your way to the cave and proceed inside. Be prepared, as there will be a bunch of enemies inside, but the one you need to locate is their leader, called Ogre Chieftain.

He can be found at the end of the cave. Defeat him and then loot his body to get the .

Now, there a♐re a few things you can do with the sword.

  • If you are a melee character and use swords, you could keep the sword for yourself, but this method will not complete the quest but still let you use the sword.
  • You can also decide to give it back to the person who sent you to retrieve it, Fathis Ules. He will reward you with some gold for it and thank you for retrieving it.
  • Alternatively, you can bring it back to Laythe Wavrick, who can be found at the castle. He will reward you with the shield in return.

Whichever method you pick for whom to give the sword to, head back to the twin brothers at Weatherleah and speak to them.

Inform them about the process, and depending on which choice you made, their reaction will be different.
