This injustice has not been addressed in O🦩blivion Remastered. This armour remains unlootable, much to the chagrin of the player base.
A user on Reddit named is more offended by this fact than most, and has been sacrificing a palace guaওrd𓆏 in the centre of the palace's council chamber every day in the vain hope that the Nine Divines will reward his efforts with lootable palace guard armour.
"Oh Talos! We give you his body, so give me his armour," rings out the pilgrim's prayer every afternoon. The guards at th♍e palace are certainly perturbed by the ritual, but even they are understanding as they understand the undeniable draw of their shiny white armour.
This isn't a new✨ struggle. There are complaining that players can't equip the palace armour on UESP that date back to 2008. We are witnessing tꦏhe rekindling of a decades-old complaint, and I'm completely here for it.
Games wer🅰en't as easy to patch back then, but these days.... Let's just say, we all want you to do the right thing, Virtous.
