By Azura, By Azura...
There's a specific main quest in Oblivion, Blood of the Daedra, where Martin asks you to get him a Daedric artifact to help him ജopen a portal𓂃 to Mankar Cameron's Paradise. Although he highlights the nearby Shrine of Azura, you should not listen to him.
As highlighted by in a recent Reddit post, the quest rewar💎d for finishing Azura's q🐎uest, Azura's Star, is one of the most powerful Daedric artifacts in the game. Azura's Star is essentially a reusable grand soul gem, and a means of recharging enchanted weaponry that have run out of charge.
At all points in the game, but especially in the late game, enchanted weapons are the most powerful tools you can get your hands on, and you'll need a lot of soul gems to keep them topped up. However, with Azura's Star, you can infinitely recharge your weapons without worrying about running out of soul 𒐪gems.
If you give Azura's Star to Martin, you will never be able to get it back. You are essentially depriving yourself of one of the most overpowered items in the game, all because you listened to Sean Bean. Bethesda likely had Martin recommend Azura's Shrine to the player because🌌 the level requirement for Azura's quest is level 2. Azura's quest and Sheogorath's quest are tied for having the lowest level requirement of any Daedric quest in Oblivion.
There's a relatively similar quest that's actually closer to Cloud Ruler Temple for Namira, which requires the player to be level 5. The Ring of Namira isn't terrible, but it isn't Azura's Star, either. (level 5) or (level 5) are among the least useful Daedric artifacts if you're not sure what to choos𓄧e.
Happy soul trapping, heroes.
