൲ Oblivion Remastered: The Battle Forꦬ Castle Kvatch Quest Walkthrough
Here's how to complete The Battle For Castle Kvatch in Oblivion Remastered, including what ha🌞ppens if you choose to keep or return 💃the ring.
"Lost Histories" is a gr🙈eat example of this. Beyond its simple premise, players are given free reign to explore Castle Skingrad to find a way inside the prison and locate the book S'krivv𝐆a requires. It's a fairly short quest to complete, but there are plenty of ways to complete it if you're perceptive. Let's go over every way you can complete this quest and go over the rewards you can expect.
How To Start Lost Histories
"Lost Histories" is a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Thieves Guild quest tha꧂t's given out by S'krivva, a Khajiit thief in Bravil. You'll be able to access assignments from her by leveling your Thieves Guild rank and the guild's storyline.
This quest picks up after "Misdirection," S'krivva's previous assignment. You must also fence at least 400 gold for the guild before S'krivva will offer this assignment. Once both c⭕onditions♌ are met, speak with her to start the quest.
Find A Way To Reach Theranis
S'krivva requires that you bring back a book titled "Lost Histories of Tamriel" to the Gre⛎y Fox. A previous thief, Theranis, was assigned to recover the book for the guild, yet he hasn't been heard from in days. S'krivva doesn't care whether he returns, so long as she gets the book.
If you bribe the beggars in town, you'll learn that Theranis was arrested in Skingrad and hasn't been seen ever since. Infiltrating Skingrad's dungeon is necessary to progress the ques𝔉t, and there are a few ways you can go about doing this.
- Complete tasks for Castle Skingrad until you get an opportunity to visit the jail.
- Break into jail, either through the front entrance or a secret tunnel.
- Get arrested to enter the jail directly, although your items will be confiscated.
Slop-Drudge
This is the easiest and most straightforward option. The butler of the property, Shum Gro-Yarug, is looking for someone to feed the prisoners in the dungeon. Accept the slop-drudge job. He'll give you unrestricted access to the prisoner cells, no persuasion needed. Let the guard know you're there to൩ feed the prisoners, then head inside to find Theranis.
Break Into Jail
Thieves are meant to break into places they aren't supposed to be in, jail being no exception. You can break into Castle Skingrad's jail block to find Theranis, ignoring the slo-drudge job entirely. A guard is posted at the entrance to the prison, so you'll need to find a way to calm them or get them to move. Illusion spells work great here; bribery does not work on the guards.
Alternatively, you can use a secret entrance to reach the jail. Enter the main hall of the castle, run up the balcony, and enter the dining hall. Once inside, head into the kitchen that's diagonally to your left. Run down the stairs to reach an unoccupied wine cellar. At the end of the winery hall is an unlit candle. Interact with it to reveal a hidden tunnel that leads to the prison.
Get Arrested
Finally, if you're a poor thief and find slop-drudging to be beneath you, getting arrested is always an option. Steal an item in a guard's presence or pickpocket them to get flagged as wanted. When they confront you, select jail time as your way of paying for your bounty. This will take you to Castღle Skingrad's jail, although your items will be confiscated and must be retrieved.

Find The Pale Lady
Now that you're in jail, it's clear that Theranis is nowhere to be found. A single prisoner in the area, Larthjar, has information on his whereabouts if you get on his good graces. If you can get Larthjar's affinity to 70 or higher, he'll tell you what happened to Theranis. You can 🐟bribe him or play the persuasion minigame to in🔯crease your affinity with him.

It appears that most of the prisoners are mysteriously taken from their jail cells by "The Pale Lady." This woman took Theranis and an Argonian. The good news is that reaching them is fairly easy. From the jail, look for an unlit candle on the wall you can interact with. This will reveal a hidden tunnel that leads to the winery.
Once you're in the winery, follow the splotches of blood on the floor. They will lead you to a shelf of wine bottles next to another unlit candle. Pull on this one to reveal a hidden torture cell. Inside is the Pale Lady interrogator, the Argonian prisoner, and Theran🌳is' corpse. Avenge your fellow thief before proceeding.
Potential Vampirism
The Pale Lady is a vampire and can spread Porphyric Hemophilia, Oblivion's term for vampirism. If you don't cure this disease within three days of contracting it, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:you'll turn into a vampire.
Those wishing to avoid vampirism should be particular꧅ly cautious her♍e.
Recover The Book
Amusei, the Argonian prisoner, knows the location of the book Theranis had in his possess🔯ion, but he'll only tell you its location if you assist Amusei with his escape. Doing so it easy enough. Book it outside of the castle and speak to Amusei again. Even if the guards catch you and send you to jail, they won't detain Amusei. Get out of the castle and speak with the Argonian agaꦗin to get Theranis' final message.
The "Lost Histories of Tamriel" book is located in a bush behind a well on the north wall of Skingrad. Walk up to the bush a🌱nd grab the book. Bear in mind that if you did not rescue Amusei from prison, the book will not spawn; you can't skip most of the steps in this quest.
With the book in hand, return to S'krivva and let her know what happened to Theranis. She'll express remorse briefly before rewarding you with 400 gold. This complete "Lost Histories" and comes with a ꦓpromotion to Cat Burglar within the organization.
