All Horse Types And Locations
Horses can be found in many places across the Empire. Most horses can be found in stables, and each stable has its horse specialty.
Not all horses count as being owned by the player, meaning they will not be registered as an owned horse, nor will they follow the player when traveling. Stolen horses will never be counted as owned horses.

Do not mistake Martin's Bay♐ horse for Jauffre's Chestnut🦄 horse at the Cloud Ruler Temple. Taking Martin's horse will be stealing.
The difference between a chestnut and bay horse is that while both mඣay be considered brown, a bay horse will have darker markings at their extremities, including manes, tails, noses, and legs.
What Should I Know About Horses In Oblivion Remastered?
Horses, like the original game and its successor, Skyrim, do not require care or upkeep.
However, they can:

As for general tips and notes,
- Wayshrine Blessings apply to horses, meaning you can heal them and bolster their stats for more strength or speed.
- Horses can swim, but very poorly.
- Your Athletics and Acrobatics skills will not increase while riding a horse.
- You cannot fight while mounted.
- You cannot mount a horse while overencumbered.
- If you own or have ridden more than one horse, only your last ridden horse will be marked as active and will travel with you.
- Horses can contract diseases or be poisoned when struck by enemies. You can remove these with Wayshrine Blessings.
- If you steal a horse from a fellow guild member, you will be kicked out of that guild.
To apply a Wayshrine Blessing to a horse, you must jump your horse up onto the altar. You must keep🥂 to the far edge of the 🐲altar yourself when you dismount, making sure your horse is closest to the center. You'll know you succeeded when the animation encircles the horse instead of you.
How Do I Armor My Horse?
You can put armor on any horse you rightfully own by talking to Snak gra-Bura at the Chestnut Handy Stables outside the Imperial City. It costs 500 gold to armor a horse, and you can place the old version of armor on or, if you have purchased it, any DLC armor ꦦyou have acquired.
By placing armor on a horse, you will double the horse's effective health. However, Armored Old Nag cannot have her armor removed, and her health will always be set at 250.
Armored Old Nag is also the easiest horse to get, as you need only ask Snak gra-Bura to give you the mare for free. Even if you don't reques🅰t the nag, you will receive her when asking for armor for any other horse you own.
