To start the Corruption and Conscience quest, you'll have to ask for rumors inside Cheydinhal city. You'll learn of the unfair fines inside the city, and you might ask NPCs about these fines, who will then ask you to talk to Lievana Nedaren, as she's the most vocal person ꦛagainst the fಞines.

You can find Lievana Nedaren roaming around the city or inside her house, which can be found near the north gate. Lievana will inform you that Aldos Othran and Ulrich had him thrown out of his house because he c✱ouldn't pay the fines. She will then ask you to talk to Garrus Darellium, the vice captain of the guards, as he also i🌸sn't happy with Ulrich.

Corruption And Conscience Quest Walkthrough

Garrus will advise you against it and ask you to find evidence inside Ulrich's quarters to arrest him without any unnecessary bloodshed. Now, you'll be ♏able to follow Garrus' way of doing things or lead Ulrich to Lievana so that she can kill him.

Bringing Ulrich To Lievana

If you do decide to bring Ulrich to Lievana's home, she will summon a few rats inside her house, making them kill Ulrich Leland after a heated argument. After killing Ulrich, Lievana will approach you and ask you to report to Garrus and𝕴 that she's ready to face whatever fate has in store for her.

Garrus will then say that you should have gathered evidence to arrest Urlich instead of killing him, but 🅷he will try her best to reduce Lievana's sentence. Garrus then asks you to meet him inside the Cheydinhal Bridge Inn in two hours.

The Cheydinhal Bridge Inn can be fo🦩und near the west gate of Cheydinhꦆal city.

As you meet him inside the Inn, Garrus will inform you that he has talked to the count about Ulrich's actions and has taken measures to reduce Lievana's sentence. Garrus also tells you that you have not committed any crime by leading Ulrich to his death. Instead, Garrus will reward you with 175 gold, and Lievana🔜 will end up in jail, marking the end of the quest𒁏.

Searching For Evidence Of Ulrich

If you choose to follow Garrus' plan and look for evidence, you'll have to head to the Cheydinhal City Barracks and enter Ulrich's chamber. You can find a suspicious letter on top of a book in his room. Take this letter and bring i꧋t🌼 to Garrus.

Garrus will rejoice and ask you to meet him at the Cheydinhal Bridge Inn in two hours. You can head to the inn and wait inside. Once Garrus shows up, he'll give you glad tidings that he has been promoted to the new captain of the guard and will reward you with 250 gold coins.

This will mark the completion of the Corruption and Conscience quest while also saving Leivana from a life of prison.
