Oblivion Remastered: The Fork Of Horripilation Que🅰st Walkthrough
Here is a complete✅ guide to completing t💦he Fork of Horripilation quest in Oblivion Remastered.
A Wound In Time is a wholly new experience to the Remaster - a new quest that 𝄹has some fantastic, snazzy rewards. It might take a while for you to get your bearings and come across this quest, but it's a simple one once y✤ou've got yourself started!
How To Start A Wound In Time
There are two ways to begin A Wound In Time:
- Receive a rumour from an NPC who can talk about it - these are limited to the NPCs who have new lines recorded. The rumour will be about a priest in Kvatch who is losing faith thanks to mysterious disappearances.
- Speak to Ilav Dralgoner directly, who can be found on the road between the ruined city of Kvatch and the survivors' camp to the south of the city.
Speakin📖g to Ilav is what will start the quest in earnest, which directs you towards Beldaburo, an Ayleid Ruin in the western reaches of Cyrodiil.
How To Get To Beldaburo
The quickest way to get to Beldaburo, if you haven't unlocked any closer fast travel points to the ruin, is to travel to the Horse Whisperer Stables outside Anvil and then walk northwest towards the quest marker (as long as you have A💯 Wound In Time) as your active quest.
Once you reach the front door to the ruins, you'll be prompted to investigate inside.
How To Investigate Beldaburo And Complete A Wound In Time
Beldaburo is a relatively simple Ayleid ruin to explore. There's a linear path through the ruin, featuring two large rooms with some side-paths to explore, but not much in the way of valuable loot.
The enemies here are undead, so prepare accordingly - but don't worry too much, there's 🐓nothing here that should take you unawares.
There are also some locked doors to bypass here, but y🔯ou don't need to do this to progress in the quest.
When you enter a long corridor after leaving the first large room in the ruins, you can hit a switch on the wall to your right to reveal a nearby Varla Stone.
At the end of the path through this first level in Beldaburo you'll find a glowing door, and approaching it will let you know that it is locked and you cannot open it right now. This will direct you all the way back to Ilav at Kvatch. Double back throඣugh the ruins and fast travel to Kvatch to meet up with Ilav again.
Talk to Ilav about the 'Powerful magic' to learn more about the door. This will💫 compl🍃ete A Wound In Time and give you the next quest: Saving Time Itself.
How To Open The Magic Door And Complete Saving Time Itself
Return to Beldaburo when you're ready and he🙈ad back to the magic door.
With the blessing given to you by Ilav, you'll be able to enter the second area within the ruins: Beldaburo Anga.
Beldaburo Anga is another simple Ayleid ruin area, but this time with a few more traps to be wary of. It's recommended that you quicksave every now and then so you don't get caught unawares.
Your target here is in the south half of the map, but you'll have to take the northern route that takes൲ you around the entire area to reach your goal. There are plenty of containers to search꧟ for loot on the way, and enemies to kill.
How To Beat Corelian
Eventually, you'll end up faced with Corelian, an undead mage who you'll need to kill. He's a tough opponent, but focuses on staying away from you and attacking with a staff, so an aggressive, close-range strategy is a safe way to go.
He can also summon more enemies, so the sooner you can whittle hisﷺ health down, the better. Regardless, it's better to focus on Corelian, as th🌼e summoned creatures will disappear upon his death, anyway.
Once the mage is defeated, you can loot his body for the Elder Scroll (which is the quest requirement), his key, and his diary, if that interests you.
There's a pushblock to the northwest of Corelian's lair that you can use to reach the exit quickly, or you can use his key to unlock the nearby gate and access the upper level of the first area, which contains some lootable containers.
Once you're done in Beldaburo, leave and return to Ilav f🦂or your reward.
Quest Rewards
Upon returning to Ilav and handing him the Elder Scroll, you'll be named a Paladin of the Hour. This doesn't come with any immediate rewards, but by talking to Ilav, you can request any unique pieces of equipment from his stores. He has the following equipment available:
- Claymores
- Daggers
- Longswords
- Shortswords
- Battle-axes
- Maces
- War Axes
- Warhammers
- Bows
- A full set of Heavy Armour
- A full set of Light Armour
You can obtain this equipment from him at any point, and since their power is determined by your level, it's worth returning to Ilav to get replacements after levelling up a fair amount to update any pieces that you like usi📖ng.
Completing this quest will also allow you to deck any horse you own out in Order of the Hour armour at the Stables outside the Imperial City!
